Enjoyed driving around Pipestone's historic district. Especially enjoyed their City Hall -- red brick -- think it might be pipestone.

They just don't make buildings like this any more. It's great to see that they are being preserved and not torn down. Check out the Ghost Walk

It's like taking a time machine back to the turn of the century. If you are at all interested in history you have to find the Museum just off Main Street on HIawatha and take a look. You can get the background you need to really appreciate what you are seeing as you check out the town. This place is a gem.We contacted Betty and Susan with the Historical Society ahead of time, and they met us with a thick folder of information to get us started on our genealogical research.
