This is a really nice park bordering the Boise river and BSU. A really nice place to take the family on a sunny day, especially in the fall when the trees are turning. But be careful. Don't go by yourself, especially after dark. There have been a series of rapes and attacks on the greenbelt there over the years that just seem to be a part of life in that area.

Good park for jogging/running, dog walking, especially if the weather is nice! You have to be careful tho when you go into the grass area though, me and my husband went there to play with our dogs and there was dog poop everywhere. Apparently some people don't clean after their pets..

Boise's first park, donated by Tom Davis after his wife Julia died, is still the leader. Open spaces, mature trees, a wonderful zoo and a beautiful rose garden grace this riverside park. A string of other lovely parks dedicated to women have joined it along the river, but fun for children at the zoo or families visiting the Idaho State Historical Museum or the Boise Art Museum at the entrance to the park cannot be matched. It is a Boise legacy.

Every time I'm in Boise I stop at this park to watch the ducks. The pond has a huge variety, especially November -February. Mallards, Mergansers, Goldeneyes, Widgeons. There is a disk golf course that runs through the park as well. It's right across the road from Whole Foods. I suggest grabbing a sandwich and heading over to Julia Davis to watch the ducks.

I just recently moved to the Boise area and wanted to explore the area. Went to this park beautiful area. Rose garden was amazing, the blue fountains and lots of wildlife. Was a great day to be out and about. Would recommend everyone go here.

This is a really nice park, with lots of fun events that happen throughout the year. I especially like Art in the Park in September, and the school district has family movie nights in the summer. Zoo Boise is nearby, as well as the Idaho Historical Museum, the Rose Garden, and the Boise Art Museum. It is located in the heart of downtown Boise.

Love that some museums and the zoo are contained in the park, also a lake with crazy swan paddle boats. It should be a great place. There is a lot of construction right now, so some of the park is closed. The largest problem is geese. They have taken the park over, and the city needs to rid them from there. Very annoying, messy, loud, etc. They also are in the zoo grounds.

This is a great park. The green belt runs through it. The zoo is in this park..they have a rose garden. Paddle boats on the pond..tennis courts.. Beautiful trees. Great place for a picnic family get togethers...There is a Art museum. And the historical museum..right now although the historical museum is being renovated..

I enjoyed walking through the rose garden and love that it connects the art museum, zoo, and history museum. So pretty and peaceful!

We have attended several events at this park. It is always clean, easily accessible and maintained. Great place for the whole family. Also has the beautiful river running right along the park.

Beautiful park for a walk or a bike ride. We chose to have a picnic and play some frisbee. There is a lovely zoo with great exhibits. Peddly boats are relaxing. Like doing a lazy river ride without getting wet.

A beautifully landscaped park on the Boise River and greenbelt. A wonderful place for the family. Visit the zoo and the ponds.

We were in Boise for an event held at the Julia Davis Park. This is a large green oasis along the river in the middle of down town Boise. Across the river is Boise State University. A long biking and walking path follows the river through this park. There is a zoo, rose garden, art museum, paddle boats on a pond, a discovery center, and dozens of large old shade trees. Summer weekends often have special events. A good place for summer activities or just to relax and enjoy the green space.

This is a quiet little city park along the river bank, directly opposite the campus of Boise State University. There is free two hour parking along the drive, so I got out of my car and walked to a bridge that crosses the river to take some pictures. There were people wading in the river, a few fishing, and several rubber rafts floated by. On the way out, I saw the place where they were disembarking on their float trips. I did not do it, but I read in a guide book that you can rent a raft, float down the river , and take a shuttle bus back for a small fee. There is a long walkway along the edge of the river, but I didn't want to walk too far with a two hour time limit.
