We recently stayed at the East Canyon Resort outside of Park City Utah and had a very good experience. The resort is located next to a Utah state park, with a large lake, it is approximately 13 miles from the small town of Henefer (paved year round road) 8 miles from Park City (via a rutted gravel road) and and 20+ miles from Salt Lake city via Hwy 63 (however HWY 63 is closed in the winter, approximately one mile south of the resort). The paved road from Henefer was an easy drive, with large numbers of mule deer spotted at dusk (be careful). The resort has a number of two story condos, and a large number of RV parking spaces. The condo had two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the second with two bunch beds. There was also a murphy bed in the living room. This would provide plenty of sleeping spots for up to 8 people. There was one full and one 3/4 bath on the second floor, there was also a small 1/2 bath just off the entry hall. The kitchen was about 8 feet by 8 feet, with full size stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. There was plenty of counter space. BY FAR the best supplied kitchen we have ever rented. Ample plates, cups, silverware, etc.The living room had a wood burning fireplace, a large couch and two chairs, it was next to a dinning area with a four person table and chair set. A small patio was in the rear of the condo. Also, a covered area to park one car.The resort itself was clean and well maintained. There was a small general store, a restaurant (currently being renovated) a game room (video machines, and a pool table) a pool (closed for the season) a hot tube (open) miniature golf course, two tennis courts, a basketball court, BBQ and picnic area. The only drawbacks about the resort were very spotty cell phone service, and no internet service. Of course if you are on vacation there is plenty to do, so you shouldn't need internet service, but of course these days it is hard for people not to be able to read email, etc.I would rate this resort a five if it had better cell phone and internet service. I would definitely return.

What a beautiful canyon to explore cycling. Diverse terrain, beautiful scene, plenty of room to share the road with other vehicles. This may be my new favorite road ride!

East Canyon is close to home. It is a fun place to play and get away. it doesnt matter that there are no trees and that the fish dont bite. Getting out is whats important
