wetlands water park

In it's day, maybe this was a competitor, but that time has Long passed. The aged look of the waterpark is only one of the many downfalls. We went on a day that rained, and thundered. Now since they do not have any rain check program, it's rains and your out ALOT of money. So they did say we could stay and play in between thunder showers. Uggghhh this only pleased those under ten years old. We roughed it all day and will not be spending anymore time Ever at wetlands. Really disappointing all the way around.

I was around 10 years old when this park first opened up. I was fairly cool then, but mostly gave us something to do in our small town. Now that I'm older I see that it's quite small, and it doesn't really have a place to just relax in the water. You can ride on the lazy river, but the current is quite low and it's always crowded. On a positive note, there are a number of slides for children of almost any size. The ticket prices are quite high for the area.

For a family with small children this is the place. Has a very small child special section and slides, and a big lazy river just to relax on the tube and ride in the sun.

For the price of tickets I pay to go here, I'd expect to have plenty of space to swim, lie around or not have to wait for 15 minutes to ride down a water slide. Instead, it's overcrowded and the people that work here (for the most part) are not pleasant. This place would be much better if they would expand the facilities.

Wetlands is nice but rather small. The town should put some money into it to expand or update. However, the kids enjoy it regardless.

The pamphlet says acres of fun but unless they are referring to the parking lot, they are way off base. I would say 1 acre at best. If you're under 10, its probably not that bad. Not to mention, I have been in cleaner creek water than the pool water. Most of the bugs would probably be filtered out except there isn't enough water in the pool to even reach the filter. Traveling from out of town with teenagers, just stay at your hotel pool, its not much different!!!

Growing up, I would come with my mom to Wetlands during the summer when school was on break. I really enjoyed coming here, but there are some issues we had with it. I am unsure if this is still a rule or not, but we were not allowed to bring any outside food or drinks inside. The food there was unhealthy and expensive. It was annoying having to go outside to get our food and drinks and find a picnic table. I understand they want to make money on food, but not everyone can afford it. Also, the prices kept going up every year. At best, the ticket may be worth $8, but not $12. There are a few water slides and a lazy river, but nothing to really brag about. I definitely think the slides are good for children, but for adults (especially those looking for a thrill) a bigger water park may be better.

If you want a day away at a park without the croud then this is the place to go. it is a wonderful place to take your children and there is 2 big waterslides and a small one for the little ones. There is also a lazy river which is really great when you just want to chill.They also have snowcones of all different favors so if you are thinking of a place to spend a day at then this is the place. Just be aware they are very cauctious of the weather so they will make you get out of the water if there is a storm coming but i would rather them be that way then to take a chance of someone getting hurt. Enjoy your day trip.

A great local waterpark , affordable for large families. Can go in after 3pm for half price. Food is not pricey-----try Dollywood or Splash Countrys' prices for high food prices! I have been a season pass holder for two years and will be in 2014 also. Try it!!!!

I have been her twice and I love it. I don't care for big waterparks. This park is just right. There is something for all ages. The only complaint I have is the lazy river. I am 4'9" so it was pretty deep for me to walk around with my daughter on a tube. But that's not the park's fault. We packed a cooler,went out and ate at the van and went back in later. I recommend you visit.

If you have little kids they will really enjoy this water park. It's not too exciting for teens or adults. The admission is a bit high for what you get, and the concessions are pretty costly.

Before you visit, remember you must be 48inches to ride all the slides except the 2 baby slides. My son is 7(47inches tall) and can't ride any of the "big" kid slides. The only way for kids under 5ft to get to the lazy river is to jump into it then get out half way though before it rushes back into 5ft. I think the park was designed mostly for teenagers. There is no area designated for babies under 3 either. So they get trampled on by the bigger kids. There isn't a lot of seating so bring a blanket or chairs. It's way over priced. The bathrooms are NASTY! AND I MEAN NASTY!!! Save your money or go after 3pm when you get in half off.

Mostly, it's just not worth the money, plain and simple. When we were there, none of the attractions for young children were in operation. One of the two kiddie slides was empty and they had a water hose spraying it so kids could use it (barely)..The loud and often lewd country music was a real turn off. Inexplicably, the only time the hawnky tawnk stopped, it was to play "Whoomp, there it is". Really? "Whoomp, there it is"?! For the record, I visited and am writing this review in 2013.But alas, I digress. The real trouble was in the change rooms. One toilet was filled with tissue paper, so upon entry to another stall, what was found was beyond words. Let's put it this way (and appetite spoiler alert, by the way): if this toilet was found in the men's room, someone would have suspected a homicide - some poor woman picked the wrong day to go to the pool.Any positives? The staff seemed friendly and the park itself seemed well-maintained (the portions that were working, that is). Overall though, it was just too much money to put up with too many people cramped into too small a play area (plus that nightmare-inducing restroom experience).I much prefer the public pools at several of the local State Parks.

We took our grandaughter and a cousin last year and had a blast so we decides to spend Fathers Day there with our family. It cost us a total of $75.00( which wasn't a bad price) except when we got inside we had 3 children who were to small to ride the big tubes or go in the deep part of the pool. This would of been fine except nothing was working for the small children because of a broken pipe. I feel that this was information we should have been given before we paid all that money to go in. We were very disappointed and were not able to stay all day because the children got bored. Peggy B.

My family has been going since 2011. We've seen no "scummy" incidents or "poopy" incidents. Just had lots of fun in the sun. Yes, bring a blanket or beach chairs and suntan lotion. Eat before you go, and it's much cheaper than eating on site. We are planning on going back in 2 weeks.
