They are packed in like sardines. Not a great time if you want to get away with the rest of Denver. The lake is shallow and no wake allowed. You need a fishing licence to stay.

No fee, but you need a fishing/small game license or to have a special permit that is sold for Prewitt and Jumbo reservoirs. Can be crowded in summer with campers, noisy in the fall with hunters, and people are not good about picking up after their garbage; dogs need to be on leash but welcome; good place to walk, bird watch, horseback ride, especially in winter. Beautiful location and not hard to access.
