We were a group of 10 young adults, mostly everyone's first time trying SUP and enjoyed the day on the river. Had a number of guides on our trip and all were really friendly and made sure everyone in our group felt comfortable. Great Day SUP'ing.

These guys know their stuff...all things SUP. From the gear to the safety instruction, they have it covered. If you want a fun and safe trip on a Standup board on the Colorado River, these are the guys to go with. We had a group of 5, some with experience and some first timers. We all had a great time.

The team was amazing at making the adventure fun for everyone. From my daughter age three, to myself (always seeking challenge) the rafting/ SUP adventure worked out well because they put the young ones on the raft and the thrill seekers out on SUP boards with great instruction on navigating the rapids. It was a safe adventure packed with challenge. We ALL had huge smiles on our faces- it was our family's best adventure to date. My 7 year old son had a blast riding as a passenger at first- then got the chance to test his skill in the calmer waters. A memory we will all have for a lifetime- thanks for that guys!

Wife and I had SUPed one other time, but on flat water. This was great, and far better than our time in Florida. You start off with a stretch of completely flat water, which gives everyone a chance to get the hang of what they are doing. And the first couple of rapids are tame, so they do a great job easing you into it before you hit some of the larger class II rapids later on. There were nine customers and three guides in our group, and they did a good job of making everyone comfortable. I ended up falling off twice, both in rapids, but felt safe and enjoyed both swims. There were only two things that prevented it from getting a full five rating. First, they tell you to get there an hour before the scheduled start time, but other than signing a waiver and getting into a wetsuit, we didn't even start the safety talk until 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. Second, when we finished the van to pick us up hadn't arrived and we waited about 20 minutes to get a ride back to the Rancho Del Rio (which is a fascinating place). I get that every trip takes a different amount of time depending on the group size, how many people fall off, etc., but it was a little annoying. While there are worse places to spend a few minutes than sitting on your board on a beautiful river, given that we started late, our 2 hour tour that we thought would begin at 9am didn't finish until 12:30 or so.

We spent two weeks at Keystone and paddled twice on Lake Dillon with SUP Colorado. They were very professional and super fun. Javier, the owner was very hands on, teaching my wife, kids (7,9,11) and me. None of us had ever SUPd before and we got hooked for sure. We highly recommend them. We would have loved to have tried SUP on the river with them but didn't have the time. Recommend you go earlier in the morning when the lake is glassy and the winds speed is low.

I took my granddaughter paddle boarding the Colorado River from Rancho Del Rio to State Bridge yesterday. Neither of us had any experience paddling dow the river. I fell 3 times right off the bat, and ended up going most of the way on my knees. My Grand daughter rode on a guides board, (she wanted her own but Buckley the guide tactfully convinced her to ride with him). This was a great choice. The staff was uber patient with a granny and 10 year old. My Grand Daughter told me on the way home, "This was my BEST day ever!" And we have done some really fun things together. Great views, friendly safety oriented staff, we can't wait to go back! Thanks to Javier, and staff!

I had my first SUP date on the lovely Colorado river with Stand Up Paddle Colorado today, and I am now a super fan of this sport. I had no idea it would be this fun and this challenging. It's an awesome work out attempting to stand up through class 2 rapids, though I ended up on my knees often, which was still just as fun. I totally recommend this sport for those folks who are looking for a new river challenge. It's as challenging as you make it. Looking forward to paddling with my daughter on the board next!

Stand Up Paddle is only 3 years old, and it seems word hasn't quite gotten out yet on this gem. We drove up early in the morning from Vail for the 9am stand up paddle tour. Our guide was Buckley, who was insanely knowledgeable on the techniques and determined to not only ensure that we enjoyed our experience, but that we learned how to do it right at the same time.Simply put, this was our favorite adventures during our stay in Colorado (and we did a lot). We were not expecting the class II rapids, which were exhilarating for a beginner on a paddle board and a bonus. The setting is beautiful and the water is refreshing (falling in was one of the best things to happen to me). Buckley, who is just an awesome guy, was guiding us the entire way, teaching us different paddle strokes and making sure we hit the right lines through the water. He has an appreciation for the sport and a respect for the proper techniques, and it shows. We really appreciated him as a guide.SUP Colorado is less than an hour drive from Vail and accessible to all of the other mountain towns, and the entire drive up is absolutely beautiful. They are located in the middle of nowhere, which only adds to the experience. They run a great operation, from the first rate and seemingly brand new equipment, to the safety and technical demonstrations, and right on down to the runs through the rapids. If you are looking for an awesome Colorado experience, this is not to be missed. Bring a GoPro if you have one. I'd rate it higher than any of the other major adventure outfitters we did activities with. DO. NOT. MISS.

Took our third tour with this group, and again this company didn't disappoint! My husband, my 18-year old nephew, and I went out for a SUP adventure last week, and had a blast! The tour leaders, Joey and Buckley were 100% on point with their leadership skills as we navigated the Colorado. We also had a rafting family with us, including a little boy who was probably 5-6 years old. It was hard to know what was louder, the water or this kid's laughter. Great time had by all. This company cares about your safety, while giving you a great adventure. Would recommend this for all ages and abilities. These men and women know their stuff!

I am an experienced ocean SUPer from South Carolina with moderate whitewater experience. My girlfriend is a whitewater newbie, and we were at Rancho del Rio for Campout for the Cause. This is an awesome music festival with yoga and paddleboarding in addition to live music. I spent two days on the beautiful Colorado River with Javier, Joey, and company. They are great instructors, and caring guides. Their gear is top notch, their safety is impeccable, and the vibe is chill. The river was at high flow and the rapids were perfect for SUP. My gal was happy to ride in the raft and watch me battle the rapids. We saw two bald eagles! We will definitely be back. Thanks, y'all!

My friend from Steamboat found this place for us. I am a San Diego Ocean sup'er and this was my first time on a river. Javier took the 2 of us down the river. He was just perfect! Understood our fears, and was incredibly encouraging. If you have the time, go for a wonderful adventure and make sure that Javier is your guide.

I live locally and wanted to take a few friends that were coming in from Chicago on a stand up paddle board trip down the Colorado river. After checking out a few options I settled on Stand Up Paddle Colorado to lead our group. We did the guided tour so ALL the gear came included with the price. I was nice not to be nickeled and dimed for extras like a wetsuit, booties and all that stuff. We even got a ride back to camp after our adventure. Our guides were Tim and Joey and the knew their stuff!! We had one friend who was a little concerned as to what she was getting herself into, but the guides took special care of her and she ended up having a great time. We are all fairly active and the trip was not to easy, but not to hard either. The guides were great with safety as a top priority. That was part of the bonus with doing the guided tour...a little piece of mind know you have a little insight into the river. I highly recommend these guys for a great time on the CO river!!!

We spent a bit over a week in Avon, CO and were referred here by our hotel. We weren't sure if it was worth the drive to save some money. ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!! Looking back, it was unanimous that this was the most fun we had the entire vacation. Very relaxing, great scenery, and was so much fun learning the ways of stand up paddle boarding. This was our first time and they did a great job throwing everything against the wall and seeing what stuck. Learned a lot and had a great time with some entertaining stories from our teacher!A definite must so long as you do it with these guys!! Great job and thanks for the hook

My family decided to rent stand up paddle boards and all the gear instead of going on a guided trip. We loved it. The gear and the boards were top of the line. We felt challenged the whole way down and loved every second of it. Most of us were experienced river paddlers however the few of us who were not loved the day just as much. I highly recommend it.

I choose to go with Stand Up Paddle Colorado for my second time on SUPing on Lake Dillon and I am really glad I did. First of all, Javier, my guide was phenomenal! He made the trip fun, a good work out and safe! He was friendly, pushed my limits just to the right joint without over doing it, and he properly critiqued my form! He made sure everything was safe and secure and an adventure at the same time. I highly recommend going with Stand Up Paddle Colorado. You will have a fun time, see some amazing views, enjoy the water and learn a lot!
