Beautiful walking/jogging trail that winds for miles through old town WP passing by the resort and crossing over the Fraser river before meandering through the Fraser Valley. Great sights and sounds to be had!

You'll enjoy this easy, level trail along the Fraser River with beautiful views. It stretched all the way into Winter Park and on to the base of the ski area.

I followed this trail south out of downtown Winter Park & ended up at the Village/Resort of Winter Park. The whole trail is almost 7 miles from the resort north to Fraser with almost 1000 feet difference in elevation. From Winter Park south to the resort it was about 4 miles. It was beautiful with the river running next to the trail most of the way. It runs through a campground. There are nice benches & informational plaques along the way to enjoy. There were a lot of bicycles along the trail but I stayed to the right of the paved walkway & there wasn't any problem.

Flat for great walking. Would have also been wonderful for biking. off the highway and quiet. Lots of birds and some signs of beaver and moose.

Great paved trail through the beautiful Fraser River valley. Smooth enough to rollerblade and a great workout if you head up toward Winter Park ski area. Passes under evergreens and along the rushing river.

Lots to explore on this trail. Great information boards about the history of the area and local environment. The kids loved to stop and read about where we were. Very easy mostly flat walk. Large paved sidewalk, just beware that this is a popular place to ride your bike. We walked to portion of the trail that is in the woods and campground so we didn't get too hot in the summer sun. We stopped and the creek to feel how cold the water is and look for bugs. Kids on the hike we 5, 8, 9 and 11. Easy walk for families.

The paved trail is nice, and there are some beautiful views and interesting facts posted along the the way, but this is designed more as a family stroll through a park rather than a "trail."

Paved along the highway or try the stretch along the Fraser River for a great walk/ride. A lot of people must not know about this path. It is 100x better(not paved though) than the section along the highway. It winds behind Safeway through the willows along the river and the valley floor. My favorite way to go between Winterpark and Fraser.

This trail was easy to access with parking in a dirt lot. It was more pleasant the farther one headed on the paved road, as it slowly moved away from the busy highway and provided more woods and shaded areas that were more comfortable in extreme heat. Many people use the trail, including bikers and skateboarders. We were surprised how few people warned walkers of their fast approach on bikes, but luckily avoided any mishaps in staying to the right. There were great photo opportunities near the creek that followed the trail. Other points of the trail were not as appealing in them bordering construction sites or rundown buildings, but the hike overall was enjoyable.
