lariat saloon

Had a great experience this past weekend for Super Bowl in this Gorgeous Mountain town village. We visited the Lariat Saloon and Ms. Lee was our bartender and server and She was Awesome!!!!! Will visit her everytime we visit Grand Lake, CO. Great town, bar, and bartender!! 5 Stars in my book!!!

Okay, so I went to the Lariat Saloon in Grand Lake, CO last Friday night 1/23/15. I sit up at the bar and received GREAT service from the bartender named Mel (I asked for her name because I was so impressed). The thing is that this is a very long bar and there must have been 100+ customers in there that night. Mel was on it! She was able to keep the beers and drinks going to the customers without flaw, then I looked at the small kitchen area and Mel is cooking the burgers too! This was crazy as not only did Mel handle serving to all of the thirsty patrons but she was the cook too. I can honestly say that in all of my travels I have not seen a bartender handle such a huge volume of customers where she was the bartender and cook. Amazing. This bartender deserves a hefty raise. I know if I was the owner I would do whatever it took to keep this employee on board. Cheers & Thanks!

We went here 3 times in a two-day stay. Super laid-back, friendly, authentic Colorado experience! Kristy was great!

Fantastic locals bar and welcome to all visitors! Great feel and very low key. A historic staple of Grand Lake night life!
