We called ahead and they said "looking forward to having you". I hung up & said wow...you never hear that anymore. We arrived just after opening and got in without my suit so back to car( no problem). My window burst and employees were concerned for the safety of people walking barefoot & getting cut. They supplied me with broom and dust pan and one gentleman went to his car for a roll of tape so I could tape it up. Would not accept payment for tape! Bring your own lock for the lockers. Family oriented and most dressed accordingly. Finally relaxing in lazy river and playing with grandkids(16 months, 5 & 7). They all loved the Seal slide and lazy river. One threw up on the slide...They jumped to action cleaning it up & sanitizing slide. Once kiddos were ready they did slides again, again & again! We all got sunburned even with repeated sunscreen. My only suggestion would be more shade. But you may bring chairs, coolers for a fee, tents, umbrellas within reason. They were full soap dispensers in bathrooms and showers. Overall very clean and wonderful employees! Can't wait to bring the grands back in 2015. See you then. Thank you very much!

Kids loved it. Entry is a little high @ $6 but if you come in at 5 PM it is $4. Clean and well managed.

We drive from Pueblo a couple times a year to visit this water park. Now if you are expecting a large park with lots of attractions then go to Denver. This place has 2 water slides, a small lazy river, a diving pool and a nice shallow play area for small kids. It's nice to play in the water with my family and not have to fight the crowds. It cost us $6 each to get in and if you take a cooler of food they charge an additional$7. We were there about 5 hours and had a very nice time.

My kids really liked the spray park and seal slide, water was really cold when we went. later we found out that the heater was broken for the pool, no one unformed us. think it would have been way more fun if it was warmer.

Every time we go we have an amazing time. The water is always clean and cold. The lifeguards are very cautious with little swimmers.

This town is a joke !! I HAVE BEEN IN SMALLER TOWNS THAT HAVE 5 TIMES WHAT THIS TOWN HAS... We have stopped at this facility three years in a row and each visit gets worse than the one before !! This rating of POOR is stretching it to the extreme !! These people are NOT hospitable or tourist oriented. This appears to be a "hangout" for the locals with chips on there shoulders and grudges to settle !! Everything is over priced and over taxed !! These reviews were written by city employees in an effort to boost their image. The golf courese is "minimul" at best. The "water puddle" is a bigger joke ! If you LOVE nachos & popsicles and can tolerate rude, disrespectful "kids" then you will enjoy it. The staff are all inexperienced middle school & high school teenagers and seriously lack the knowledge to effectively operate the facility. The park is way over priced and costs the same as Six Flags with 1/10th the activities. Food is additional and also over priced ! Bottom line... the city should be paying the public to come to the park !!! NOTICE; if you click on the "when did you visit" drop down below... its still says 2012. The bathrooms are a mirror of those you see pics of in a state or federal prison... there is NO soap or sanitation dispensers and half theshowers dont work. NO canopies to protect the infants and small children form the blazing heat !! They try to pack people in like sardines and only have @ six chairs and tables for @ 300 people....

The park itself is great. The lazy river was a big hit as was the splash pad area. As another reviewer noted, the break time/ length varies widely and appears to depend upon the whims of the lifeguards (who by the way do not appear to actually pay that much attention to what's going on). There were no soap dispensers in the ladies room so I would suggest you make sure you take some Purell. Also, you should call before you go- they rent out the place for private parties but do not show on their website when the park is closed for anything other than the regular hours.

This is a great little diversion. A town-run water park, it had a little of everything. We stopped with our two kids, ages 10 and 14, on our drive from Colorado Springs to Pagossa Springs. They have two small water slides, a diving pool, a small lazy river and a small child play area. The park appeared to have a bit of a staffing issue following one of the scheduled "breaks" that resulted in the water slides being closed for awhile but they eventually reopened. This is no day long water park adventure but well woth the low admission!

On your way to the Sand Dunes or Durango or Mesa Verde / Four Corners and need a place to cool down. Oh my gosh, I recently found out and tried out the Walsenburg Wild Waters Park in a scenic little town at the base of the Huajatolla Mountains. The park has two awesome water slides, a dive pool, a current pool and a walk-in pools with tons of toys for kids. They keep the water in the mid-80s. Shade and sun for hanging out around the pool, a little snack bar and private hot showers and clean changing rooms with lockers. $7 for adults or $6 for kids, or, buy a $60 season pass which gets 20 entries for ANYONE to get it for the whole season. Take a 90 minute or 2 hour break along your trip and you will be refreshed and have a blast! I did.
