We had an amazing time and I can't believed I almost didn't go! My husband bought us tickets to go zip-lining even though I said no because I was terrified and kept suggesting for my 1st time to do a much smaller zip-line in our hometown. Needless to say, after my 1st try I don't know why I was so scared and am lucky to have done my 1st time at this attraction. Where else would we find this view and such a thrilling adventure. The staff was very helpful when we arrived knowing how scared I was and the guides were very safe and made it so fun!
Tim and Keenan led Sue on her first zip, my second with a first in Honduras. Zip Adventures of Vail in Wolcott, I can attest, is world class! Great Rocky Mountain excursion well worth it!
What an experience zip lining across the stunning canyon! Viewing glacier covered mountain, glistening river currents, and soaring Golden Eagles are truly special Colorado activities, but through in a fun zip line adventure -- that is a complete outdoor experience.I traveled solo from California to do fun things in Denver, but came up to this spot outside of Vail to checkout zip lining. My mother, my wife and other relatives questioned whether gliding across a cable suspended 200' (or more) feet above the ground is a good idea. As someone who is a) afraid of heights, and b) prone to motion sickness on rollercoaster, I thought (and over thought) about the risks-benefits of this activity. For me, it came down to trusting the equipment - and believing (and hoping) there were no disorienting maneuvers. The "ranch", as the headquarters is known, is a throwback to another era. The main building has some big ol' wood burning stoves, which delivered welcome warmth on this bright, brisk morning. After signing a release form and paying up with the very pleasant Suzanne, I was introduced to our guides: Hunter and Keenan. Hunter helped me get into the strap harness system, which one steps into and then gets pulled over your head, securely around both the shoulders and waist. Then the helmet was adjusted and we were off to the zip line course in an old German transport vehicle.Hunter and Keenan told lots of jokes along the way to ease us of any fears - but our group was in good spirits after the 5 minute ride.As for zipping, it was just E-A-S-Y. Standing on the platform and looking over the canyon wasn't scary - the platform is not right on the edge - and the equipment is so strong and sturdy you just KNOW your going to make it across safely. I'm 6'3" and 235 pounds - but the limit of this equipment is 15,000 pounds. That to me was the big takeaway, I trusted the equipment and that made all my fears go away. The guides do a great job of making it FUN. Hunter and Keenan told stories - some of the "tall story" variety, which brought smiles to everyone. There were challenges like a "trust fall" and upside down (which is easier than I ever imagined) - even a chance to earn a t-shirt by grabbing a pine cone from a certain tree. The course has six different crossings - each one a little bit different (higher/lower, shorter/longer, faster/slower). The pinnacle for me was the last ride, which lasted about 30 seconds cruising the length of the canyon. The course was exhilarating, and the guides were professional and fun. Definitely coming back - and you should to. Zip Adventures of Vail is a great experience.
We had one of the vacation experiences of a lifetime this week with Zip Adventures in Wolcott, Colorado. Our guides, Caleb and Hunter, were excellent. Very professional; very informative; and very encouraging. We did tricks on the zipline, went tandem, got to hang out over the gorge a little while getting a better view; and then got to do it all again because we were the only ones on the tour at that time! It simply doesn't get any better. They are installing a new line to the 6 they already have. It looks amazing. We will definitely come back.
Had a blast at Zip Adventures earlier this month. Kyle and Hunter were our guides and they were funny, smart, and knowledgable about the Vail area (not to mention adorable). 5/5 stars.
Zip Adventures of Vail was absolutely amazing! I had zipped in Branson before, in 2 separate palces, and this one is easily 10X better. The zips over the canyon were breathtaking. The guides, Caleb and Tim, were fantastic and entertaining. They also showed us a few cool zip tricks including going off backwards and upside down. I have some great GoPro footage and pics I wish I could share on here, but you should really go see for yourself. On zip #5, the guide allowed me to go back out and dangle over the canyon. He came out and pulled me back in after a minute or 2. Talk about a view!!!I highly recommend this place. Great value for the money!!
We had an absolute blast on our zip tour; I would go back again for sure. In addition to the remarkable scenery and pleasant facilities, the setting was ideal. We were lucky to have Kyle and Hunter as our guides. They were very professional and knowledgeable - we all felt safe and well-informed for the entirety of the tour. They had something exciting up their sleeves for each zip line and allowed the freedom to make it your own experience, no mater your skill or experience level. I'd definitely recommend requesting those two for your tour. It was truly an event to remember!
Can't say enough how great an experience this was !!!! Safety was always first. Challenged us to let go a little and broaden our experience
Unbelievably professional friendly staff. Kyle and Hunter were extraordinary guides. They were so much fun and took lots of pictures for us. They even got me to go down a line up-side down. Unbelievable!!! On top of that Kaleigh went above and beyond to make our experience the best ever.Definitely, the best zip line!
We had a fantastic time on our zip lining experience with you...it was so much more than we ever expected. We'll be back for sure!!! Guides were excellent!!
Had a great experience on a beautiful zip line course in a wonderful setting. Hunter and Oliver were our expert guides and added to the overall trip. The course progresses through six "zips" with longer and faster runs culminating in an amazing 1000 foot run at speeds up to 35 miles per hour. Easy trip from Vail and I would definitely recommend it.
My Sister and I were visiting Colorado for the 1st time and we decided to be a little adventurous. Zip Adventures came highly recommended. We were hesitant at first due to the price compared to other areas however, it was well worth it! Ziping through the Colorado mountains, over breathtaking views was simply amazing! Our Guides, Tim and Kyle made it more fun with their great personalities and fun to be around, making us feel at ease with safety. Definitely worth the drive and the $$. There were 6 zips and each one being more thrilling than the last. Cant wait to go back try out the new zip drop they plan to open soon!
Caleb and Tim were wonderful! We had a blast and would recommend going here. The only down side is it's a bit pricey. They are adding a zip drop soon which might make the price more reasonable.
This zip line experience is a MUST if traveling to Vail or Beaver Creek! This was our first time ever zip lining and I'm so happy that we experienced it with Zip Adventures. Oliver and Tim were terrific guides. They were friendly and fun to hang around with ;). The location was beautiful. We loved zip lining over a gorge vs. tower to tower which you see along side the interstate. We always felt safe and appreciated the progression of difficulty. You begin with an 8mph. 275 ft. and end with a 35mph. 1000ft. Also, the pictures that their photographer took topped our trip. Thank you again Oliver and Tim for an unforgettable time. Unfortunately, our photos are too large to publish however, we have a few from our phones. Hope to return again soon!
I was out in Vail on a girls trip to zipline. Sailing over these gorges was amazing and there are just no words to tell you how breathtaking and exhilarating it was to fly across the mountains! Definitely worth the time to travel out this venue!
