The Circle B Ranch romantic sleigh ride was fabulous. Friendly people, beautiful scenery, comfortable carriage. Sarah was a wonderful driver, knowledgeable and friendly. Paul, who also worked there, was very friendly. I would recommend this place to all.

Stayed at Friends Lake Inn and they suggested a group sleigh ride ( we were 3 couples staying together ). Great suggestion!! We did a 6:00 pm ride and it was pleasantly snowing. Chris was great and we had so much fun!! Even though it was cold out we were all very comfortable and warm and it was fun to do the evening ride. The full moon was supposed to be out that night - it was shadowed by the snow but honestly the snow was perfectly awesome!!

I recently visited the Circle B Ranch and took a private romantic sleigh ride with my now fiance. It was a wonderful experience, and the owner Chris was such a nice guy. There was hot chocolate, cider, and a fireplace in the waiting area, and the ride itself transported you back to a time when a horse drawn sleigh was the most common means of transportation in the snowy Adirondack mountains. We were provided with blankets for the ride, the horses were well trained and always listened to Chris, and the woods were so majestic at dusk with fresh snow falling. It was after that ride that my boyfriend proposed. I would certainly recommend the sleigh rides at the Circle B Ranch for anyone who loves the outdoors, or is simply looking for something romantic to do.

Visited Circle B for the first time while staying in Hague on Lake George. Perfect winter day with a light snow falling. We had the pleasure of Rusty and Randy pulling our sleigh, with Chris providing wonderful insight on the horses and informative historical tidbits. Paul rode along on Jazz and graciously took pictures of us. Both were extremely friendly and accommodating, and with the perfect sleigh-ride weather, made for a very memorable time. Perfect for all ages. Hope to go back in the future, summer and winter both. Head on up to Circle B for a great time!

The sleigh ride with Chris was great .He was a great guide full of all kinds of fascinating info and a wonderful host before and after the ride.

We visited Circle B for the second time this Holiday Season. Each visit was fantastic and it was a pleasure spending time with great people. During our fist visit we were on the sled with Chris and our most recent trip included an excellent ride on the trails with Paul. I highly recommend a trip to Circle B if you are in the area. If not, you should make plans to visit. Great fun for the whole family, beautiful scenery and memories that will last a lifetime. JP

My roommate from college and I went for a fall trail ride and had a beautiful time. It was POURING when we got there, so we spent the 1st 30 minutes inside having a mini-lesson, then we hit the trail. Our two guides were excellent. I've been going to the Circle B since I was a child....and I'm about to book a winter lesson right now! Great people, and a wonderful thing to do in Chestertown!

The owners Chris and Nancy couldn't be sweeter. Very helpful and fun. I'm not and experienced rider and they went out of the way to reassure me safety and put me at ease. Our guide Paul was just a delight. Chris also joined our ride and it was just beautiful. Thank you Circle B. Can't wait to come again.

Sara was our guide and selected a horse that was appropriate for our respective experience levels. She also ran through training and safety beforehand and talked about any and all concerns we had. Was a joy to have as a trail guide as well, and you can tell she loves what she does. Heard of the Circle B Ranch through the nearby Friendslake Inn, and purchased the guided horseback rides through them. The entire experience was lovely and would recommend it to both the nervous, cautious first time rider as well as the intrepid, seasoned vet.

I went here yesterday and it was a very nice experience. When you go in you watch an educational video or a reminder video to some. The guys who work there are mega friendly and make sure you are safe and comfortable to ride. On the trail we stopped and talked a few times it was great to just enjoy the nature and the horses. The owner was a little grumpy upon meeting him and making reservations. But the two who let the trail where awesome.

We had a wonderful time at Circle B Ranch, Myself and my 7 and 10 year old did an hour long trail ride with Paul and Cody. They were knowledgeable and patient and really put my kids at ease. The ride was a good pace through beautiful scenery and the kids just loved every minute of it. They were even kind enough to take pictures of all three of us once we got back to the ranch. The staff was friendly and accommodating, letting us reschedule our ride for the next day due to weather. We would definitely come back again next time we are in the area! Thanks so much!

Great horseback trail ride facility. The horses are calm and excellent at their job. Staff is experienced and keep the customers safe. Would definitely recommend. The price is great and they have many different options in terms of duration and experience level.

We family 4, 2 in 50's a 21 & 18 year old wanted to horseback ride.After looking around, we found the Circle B Ranch.It is out of the way. ie. not a lakeside attraction.The ride there was very pleasant.When we arrived we were asked to watch an instructuional video on horseback riding.It was helpful.After we paid for the 60 min. ride using $3 off coupons found on their web site.It is for the 9AM ride.Cost $130 for 4. It was a good deal.Kyle our guide and another woman helped us mount.We were lead through a few fields then onto a set of winding trails.It was fun. We meandered mostly. My horse, Larry, galloped once which was a tad scary.60 Min. is plenty of time. At about 45 min. my legs were aching a little.My wife wished there was a view we could ride to.Our son wished we galloped more.I gave Kyle a $10 tip. We took our boys here for a horseback ride, ages 8 and 10. They have never ridden before so we wanted them to have a great experience and they definitely did. Everyone here is very professional and courteous. It is an experience they will never forget. We paid for an hour trail ride. They first have you watch a safety video which really helps, especially with new riders. Then they take you up into the woods on their trails. It was a slow ride because of the kids but enjoyable. We at Circle B Ranch have just read your recent TripdAdvisor review and after discussing it with your guide, we felt some explanation and clarification should be made on your experience. Safety is our number one concern for our guests. As you will remember, you purchased two 1 hour group rides with Circle B Ranch, not PRIVATE rides. There were three adults in your group and one child, about 8 years old, named Clint accompanying you. You said you had some experience riding. The others, including the child, had none. At times the child and other riders were lagging behind in line. From a safety standpoint this had to be addressed until everyone caught up. That accounted for some of the stopping and having the opportunity to give some local info about the historic Adirondack Mountains. The ride itself lasted about 15 minutes more than the purchased hour. Our guide assured us he did everything he could from a safety standpoint to make your trail ride enjoyable, even giving you the opportunity to trot at times. At the end of the ride the guide gave Clint a souvenir horseshoe from the ranch for encouragement. The actual cost of the ride was $38, not $40, which is the lowest cost for any one hour ride in the area. You may want to consider a private ride when booking in the future. A private ride would suit your needs and individual interests wherever you may choose to have your next riding experience. Ride Safe, Circle B Ranch
