A wonderful walk back into the early history of the lower Hudson Valley. The tour is excellent and the graveyard is very old and fascinating.
We were there at the wrong time to get inside but the exterior and historical markers are very informative and the setting is really quaint despite being right there among modern streets and businesses.
We are on the search for our historic relatives and part of that search took us to Fishkill. What a remarkable little town that's well worth the visit as its steeped in history and old cemeteries where you may find your relatives.
Enjoyed our informative guide and being able to sit in the pews where others had sat so many years ago. There is also a small cemetery in the yard. Bring tracing and flat crayon to do a grave stone rubbing.
Lots of beautiful Dutch stones, very well maintained. You can spend hours reading the inscriptions there. It's a great historical remembrance of those that settled this area.
It is a very pretty church, i worked for its sister church in Tarrytown and it is just as beautiful as the one that i worked for.
This is another attraction where you need to use your imagination...Not open and not restored yet there are 200 years of history here. I love to just sit and watch the building and remember history
