eddie's state king tavern

Great spot for pool, drinks, good times with friends!!! I am glad we found this bar and it made our trip across the state so much more memorable. We had heard from someone locally that this was a good spot and it was not good it was GREAT.

If only there were a tavern like the State King everywhere, but there just can't be. It is a real gem, as is its owner Krazy Eddie. Practically every square inch of wall space is covered with patrons' (friends') photos, dart trophies, classic old beer signs and ephemera, and other personal touches. You can tell a lot of good times have been had here over the years and the patrons all feel like family. That is because the owner, Krazy Eddie, treats everyone who walks in the door like family. The prices are very reasonable and the bar has a down home, rustic-in-the-best-possible-way feel with nice ambient lighting and all the necessities (darts, pool, great jukebox). It does not need to rely on bells and whistles. It is just awesome for what it is.There are many great taverns in many small towns, but this one has something really special that the others don't, and that's Eddie--everything he and his guests have put into it has made it a really one of a kind place.
