wilson-tuscarora state park

We ride through the park when biking in Wilson. It is always quiet with only a few parties going on. Usually the most people are playing Frisbee golf. The views of the lake are nice. The restrooms are very clean.

God knows why NY State charges to get into this state park. It may be to pay for the new restrooms. But there isn't much to the park, aside from a boat launch and a place to picnic. The beach is rocky on Lake Ontario, but nice enough. Worth $7 to get in? I don't think so. Besides, it's in the middle of nowhere.

I found this great park because there are geocaches hidden there. The trails are well maintained but not all that well marked. Its a beautiful place and I hope to return.

This is one of my favorite local beaches. The only catch is that you have to check and see if it is open before you drive down. The beach sometimes has e-coli problems. Beautiful beach.
