Monhegan is a wonderful island and the fact that they brew their own, delicious beer is just fantastic. We had a wonderful time on the island. Don't miss trying their beer.

Nice little place on the island. Just getting started, but the beer is top grade! The owner and his wife are very friendly and its a nice refreshment after hiking some of the trails around the island.

Had a whole group with me and the brewery was right on the way back to the village from lobster cove and a few hours in the hot sun. The root beer was my choice, but I'm told the beer is great !

We happened upon the Monhegan Brewing Company by accident. We were finishing up a day of hiking around the island and happened to head back into town via Lobster Cove Road. A nice surprise to find the brewing company there on our walk into town. The great thing is they do fresh brewed root beer and ginger beer as well as 3 or 4 different brews. Our 11 year old daughter liked the root beer and my husband enjoyed the Black IPA and I had the Shipwreck IPA, both good. I liked the size options from a small 7 oz. perfect for after hiking to a large growler if you want to take some to go. No tables and chairs but many hikers hanging out on the porch visitng and sharing stories. The perfect end to a wonderful day on Monhegan. The owners were very friendly which set a nice tone.

This brand new little venture was a nice surprise when I was on Monhegan. Delicious fresh brewed beer and root beer. I wish them the best of luck. It would be really terrific if their beer was available in the Monhegan inns and restaurants (though most are already BYO), or the couple of grocery/convenience stores.Looking forward to seeing what they're up to next time I get to Monhegan.

Great surprise near Lobster Cove. Friendly, good for thirsty kids as well as adults with root beer and ginger beer in addition to some nice beer selections.

Was hiking on Monhegan Island on Saturday and stumbled across the brewery. Was so happy to see them outside brewing away. On our way back we stopped in and had a few pints. They brewery is pretty new and they are still dialing in their recipe but it was great to have a fresh craft brewed beer on this tiny island. You can pick up a growler and take home or take to dinner on the Island.

On our 4th visit to Monhegan Island we came across this new addition and met the owners and brew master. Great folks. At the time we were there they were ramping up their beer production, but did have fresh root beer. All I have to say after tasting that wonderful root beer is, "what a great root beer float this would make". Next time to the island, and we are already planning a 5th trip, we will definitely head up there to try the beer and so should you.
