Lent coming up. Great place to eat "non meat "lunch on Fridays during the lent season. Made fresh every Friday

This is a great place for children...young children. My granddaughter loved it. A pretty setting full of mostly farm animals...pigs, goats, ducks, bunnies, and more. Also many great spots for picture taking...wooden structures and other things to climb on...all safe and fun...a wagon, a train, etc. A beautiful walk takes you to a fenced in area for cows. There are many other animals...you will spend considerable time here to see it all. Also, there are small coin operated machines for animal food, if you choose to feed certain species. Lots of families with children from infants to toddlers to school age. A really fun place for the entire family. Easy and ample parking. A super beautiful farm on the hill...perfect place to take the kids on a sunny day

I visited this place in March 2014 and had a frappe. Good experience then but I drove from Biddeford to Westbrook with six glass milk bottles to return and I was planning on getting another frappe. I looked at the bottles and they did not say on them to clean them out. I understand this policy but my issue was they were not kind when I asked if they had a sink I could clean them. I was willing to clean them myself. . Instead I had to go find a public bathroom. I was not going to drive back to my house. I never dealt with milk glass before. I bought these at Hannaford. They lost my business for the frappe and I wont buy anymore glass milk from this farm. I felt they were nasty to me and did not want to help solve the cleaning issue.

I took my 16 month old to smiling hill farm today and was pleasantly surprised about the variety of activities this family run farm had available! We went into the petting zoo for five dollars a piece and it started in a large fenced in yard full of animals and wooden climbing structures such as large wooden tractors with slide, large wooden train, plane etc. ( my son was in love) there was a path to follow that led you to goats and sheep's that are roaming free (so friendly and gentle with all the kids touching them) baby pony and mother, ducks, pigs, chickens, cows and much more. To top it all off there was also hay and pony rides and a picnic area out side an adorable restaurant that sells fresh milk from the farm with fun strawberry and blueberry flavors, ice cream and a variety of sandwiches and kid friendly food. Needless to say my family had a wonderful day and will visit the farm again!!!
