tiverton four corners

We visited the Tiverton Four Corners Grill yesterday and it was well worth the trip. We got a seat immediately and our order was taken and served in a relatively short time. I had the grilled cornbeef cheese melt with beer batter fries, my daughter had the tuna with strawberry salad which was a special, my husband had the liver and onion entree. Ice tea was the liquid refreshment . The price was reasonable and since we have visited in the past we were again pleased. There are two rooms along with outdoor seating available. Very clean and attractively decorated ..a unisex bathroom.

We visited this past weekend with friends we were staying with. They brought us to Provender for a delicious sandwich, then on to a shop Courtyards, where they happened to be having a jewelry show. What a fabulous find!! After wandering through their gardens, we happily chose unique gifts for our family back home(and two for ourselves). Then on to Grays Ice Cream for a treat.

From yarn shops to International festivals and farmers' markets in delightful rural area . Gallery4 has attractive reasonably priced jewelry and often interesting mini art exhibits. Roseberry Winn another great source for handmade tiles.

Peter at his antique attic: Alix at Gallery 4, and Milk and Honey for cheese, oil, crackers etc: we ran out of time to enjoy everything, and it's out of season! We'll be back again and again!!

Good yarn shop. Excellent Lynch Gallery, now closed. Good unique products from around the world. Best ice cream in forty miles.

Lovely place to stop for a bit of shopping and lunch on the scenic route from Tiverton to Sakonnet Point. We ate at Provender and had a lovely sandwich. The only downside was that the only toilet we found was a porta-potty - but it was clean enough.

We love driving around this area and invariably head to Tiverton Four Corners, where there are a few lovey little shops, art galleries, Gray's Ice Cream and a small, but nice, farmers market in the summertime. It is refreshingly rural,

I like this area very much from the picturesque scenery to the unique shops, a variety to match ones tastes. Places to eat and enjoy a meal or icecream at its best. Just driving down through this village is an experience ..its quaint beauty and beautiful residential houses is worth the ride..but take time to stop you won't regret it.

You can't beat the offerings of the Four Corners, with two great places to eat, The Provender and the Four Corners Grille, along with the world famous Gray's Ice Cream. The shops in the area are eclectic and artsy, and the Milk and Honey Bazaar is Cheese Heaven! The area is colonial New England at its best, and you can spend a delightful afternoon seeing it all and not feeling rushed.

After a morning strolling the beach at Horseneck Reservation, Westport, MA, we decided to venture about 12 miles west to Tiverton, RI for lunch. We stopped at a quaint sandwich shop on Rt. 77 (Main Road) called Provender. We happen to get there around 1pm and was definitely busy for the lunch crowd. There are a few tables inside but we opted for the picnic table outside. The Mama Mia has turkey, roasted red tomatoes with a delicious basil mayo on your choice of hearty breads. The other one had turkey, cranberry sauce and sprouts. Both were very tasty and made with quality ingredients.We went across the street to Gray’s Ice Cream, displaying awards touting it the best of Rhode Island. I had the large cone with half chocolate and half ginger. The chocolate was a mild in comparison to some chocolate ice creams. The ginger was tasty and compares to other ginger ice creams I’ve tried. My husband had coffee chip and cookie dough and was not impressed as he has had better elsewhere. The price disappointed him as well as the price seemed a bit steep, $4.75 per cone or $9/gallon. A nice surprise was the two cows resting outside under the shade of a tree. We happen to be in town during the Arts Festival that was located at Mill Pond Shops. We stopped to see the artisans' wares and if you are into jewelry, check it out as it appeared that quite a few of the vendors there were jewelry makers. A few were pottery artisans as well as a lavender boutique.Our detour to Tiverton, RI was enjoyable as we drove around the quaint roads viewing all the hydrangeas in bloom. It was definitely a relaxing and enjoyable way to spend a summer afternoon.
