jeffers bend environmental center

Visited my hometown and discovered this relatively new addition.......got a wonderful new perspective, and loved how they have become environmentally conscious!

I stumbled across Jeffers Bend during my search for places featuring butterfly gardens. Although I was not able to see butterflies, I was pleasantly surprised to see the dragonflies, damselflies, and darners along the path leading to the water. There is also an outdoor observatory for bird lovers as well as a botanical garden. If you are in the mood for fishing, there are plenty of opportunities to do so as well. There is no charge to visit.
