Good bourbon and a free chocolate bourbon ball. Delicious. Tour price expensive, but grounds are lovely and there's no fee for the taste or relaxing on the porch.

This beautiful distillery in the heart of Kentucky boasts an informative staff and an interesting tour, including a short film. I was amazed at how spotlessly clean every part of it is. AND, the gift shop is well stocked with wonderful and unusual Kentucky-type gifts. The Woodford Reserve bourbon is on sale there and is understandably a gold medal winner, and those Woodford Reserve bourbon balls (a few of which are a treat to tour members, along with a bourbon tasting) are to die for!!! In the middle of horse country; in the middle of the blue grass regions of Kentucky, this is a wonderful tour to take.

If you're in Lexington, I must suggest a quick side trip (20-30mins) to the Labrot and Graham Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky. The Labrot and Graham Distillery produces the famed Woodford Reserve Bourbon - a true Kentucky favorite! It has become one of our favorite exports over the past decade. The Distillery does a wonderful tour that takes you through the makings of the bourbon - and has a well awaited taste test at the end - complete with bourbon balls - a true Kentucky treat! The history behind the Distillery is really amazing - and the gift shop as amazing gifts such as bourbon glaze, bourbon bbq sauce, you get the idea, as well as collector editions of many Woodford Reserve bottles (ex. Kentucky Derby bottles, Personalized bottles). I have been to Labrot and Graham Distillery twice now and am looking forward to my next visit!
