On our recent trip to Glacier National Park we stopped in here to try our first ever Huckleberry Pie. AWESOME!! Bought several other products and they were all good. Reasonable prices.Very Friendly staff.
Amazing huckleberry ice cream. Wish there was a way to order it online! The place is quaint, the people are all super friendly and the best part, there is so many huckleberry products under one roof, I felt like I was in heaven.
This year we returned to Glacier National Park and on our list of to do was go back to Willow's. The products they sell are so good and the staff is excellent. Very helpful if you want to mail items home and never make you feel like you are taking up to much of their time. Love this place and love their huckleberry products.
Anything you ever dreamed of made from Huckleberrys or flavored like it, and some you wouldn't have thought of. Very cute place. Prices are pretty high though.
On a recent trip to Glacier National Park, my sister in law from Idaho told me this was the place to stop to get the best hard ice cream with real huckleberries, not just huckleberry flavoring that so many other places have. We found it to be the most reasonable place to purchase huckleberry jam and other products as well. The 4 pack bottles of huckleberry soda were delicious when we shared them w/ family we were visiting. Prices for these products through Glacier National Park and all the way to St. Mary's were much higher. The person who wrote the bad review on this place must have been there on an off day. We were there in very early July and stopped back a week later due to our good experience there. You can also get fresh cheese grilled burgers which were a bit pricey ay $4.50, but delicious! There are coffee mugs, cards, T-shirts, candy and other gifts. This place is owned by a hard working guy who is obviously trying his best to have a good business in these difficult times. The owner's son works there as well, he is less personable and perhaps the person referred to in the other review. This place is well worth the stop!
Maybe we just hit this place on a bad day, but we went in for ice cream and the worker was a bit creepy - wouldn't make eye contact, zipped up his pants as he was getting our ice cream, and generally was antisocial (despite the syrupy Christian music that was loudly playing in the shop). We all ordered different types of ice cream but it all seemed stale (ice crystals, freezer taste) and both the regular and waffle cones also tasted stale.
Either of the two huckleberry shops in Hungry Horse have almost anything huckleberry you might imagine and both have great pies. Willow's did have the better pie crust. While I can't say that this place was outstanding, there was nothing really wrong other than "tourist prices". Both shops are worth a stop on your way either to or from Glacier NP.
On the road to West Glacier when we saw a huge sign saying "Huckleberry Jam & Pie Factory" and being huckleberry fans, we had to stop. As other reviewers noted, they had a wide assortment of huckleberry goods so we weren't disappointed. Since we were just starting our road trip, we took a quick inventory, grabbed some huckleberry shakes and we were off. Although there are lot of stores in GNP that sell huckleberry, we held off and returned a week later to buy the bark, preserves and most importantly, the delicious huckleberry marshmallow cremes and dark chocolate cordials! A friendly place to do business and a nice photo op with the painted characters outside!
I fell in love with Montana Huckleberries and no matter what form you want them in, be it syrup, jam, gummy candy, bark, soda or baked in a pie, you can get it at Willow's. Nice pit stop when traveling to West Glacier for some really yummy snacks!
This was our first exposure to huckleberries- DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS when you come to Glacier National Park!!!! My family had just arrived by plane from Kalispell and were driving to our hotel in Hungry Horse. This sign with an enormous smiling bear in overalls lured us to this marvelous dessert experience at a huckleberry stand. The staff were entertaining! I had the huckleberry milkshake and my daughter had the huckleberry sundae. The quality and freshness were fantastic!!!! We returned almost everyday for the ice cream because in Los Angeles- you just can't get this and at such a reasonable price!! When we left, we took a case of huckleberry preserves and shipped it home for gifts. Our friends are demanding that we procure more of it for them as holiday gifts...
