This is a great attraction. I always engage this option while visiting the Resort. You get to stroll into the woods with the Falconer and see his bird (usually a Harris Hawk) perform as it lands on your outstretched arm and then flies back to the surrounding trees. It can perform various tricks and you get a full history of the sport from the guide. Very interesting and a beautiful walk in the woods whether in the winter's snow, or fall, or summer.

We went in the winter and got to hold the food for the Falcon while it landed on our arms. We had the chance to ask many questions, we spent plenty of time outside watching and helping feed the bird of prey. It was a great experience, only 3 places on east coast offer the Falconry experience. As my sons say "it was awesome!"

This was fascinating and quite entertaining for adults and children alike. The birds are let off the lead and return back in predictable fashion to snacks that are nearly impossible to see with the naked eye at a distance. Worthwhile event if you have any interest in nature.

ever wanted to hold a falcon on your arm? This is a must-try experience. the falconer is well experienced and clearly knowledgeable about birds of prey.

Very rare to find this offering of one of the oldest sports in history. All the birds are well kept and fed and truly are still in the "wild." We were fortunate that there were on the two of us when we participate that added to the experience.

This was a most enjoyable, entertaining, and educational outing. We learned a great deal about predatory birds and their use for hunting. We were able to see the birds in action with our guide and even had the opportunity to let them perch on our gloves and release them. It was an outstanding experience.

For $150 for 90 minutes, all you get is a lecture on falconry. You're not actually learning the sport. They don't tell you that. Luckily we asked.

Interesting. Learned a lot about hawk behavior. Was a lot of fun to wear the glove and have the hawk land on your hand. Even a 6-year-old enjoyed it.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for most, available at the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, WV. The beginner's class is about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes long. Our instructor was Cody. He was very informative and interesting. Our 2 children, ages 7 and 8, were included in the course for free. I highly recommend this educational experience.

We thought "where else can we try falconry?" so we gave it a whirl. It was mildly interesting, but the type of activity you could do at a public zoo. A falcon flew around us, we learned a few things, and we got a photo holding it, but it wasn't worth the money.

A unique experience. Pricey at $144.00 for 75 minutes. Cody did a good job of giving a history of falconry.

We learned so much about falconry from our tour guide Cody. It was also fun to follow him around as he "hunted" with one of the birds. At the end we each got to hold one of the birds and we were allowed to take as many pictures as we liked with our own cameras.

If you like nature or birds or hunting this is a must. You will not see anything else like this anyplace else. You get to take a walk with a hunting bird and watch it work. It will dive and swoop around you. The guide knows everything and is very friendly and forgives your goofs (getting too close to the birds with a camera). This is a must if you like birds! Or hunting! You also get to experience eagles, owls, and hawks.

Great information about birds of prey and then a hands on experience. Took a lot of great pictures. Very knowledgeable trainer.

Son loved it but if allergic to animals think twice. It can be rather hard to breath in building they are kept in.
