Entire staff has no personality, my guess is that this has something to do with the poor management. I had met the "director" before and nothing has changed.... he still has no people skills what-so-ever!, don't know why he is still there really. Cider has gone down hill in customer service over the past few months, it like none of them care about their jobs! Bottom line, if you want to pay for over priced rates with extremely poor customer service from management down to the help, then this is the place for you! Really save your money, after giving them another try I wont be back, there are much better and friendlier places to play golf in this area, I recommend Robert Trent, and Anniston Country Club for the customer service and upbeat staff.

I visited this course for the first time about two weeks ago with a group and had a great time! The course was beautiful and the food in the restaurant was great and not over priced. The service from the cart girls and the manager in the bar was exceptional as well, not to mention they were all attractive, and we will be back to see them and eat alone! The back nine was a challenge but I love a challenge! The only minus we all would have to add would be the middle aged pro in the proshop Doug, he was unfriendly to customers and staff openly and we heard nothing but bad things from the club members about his attitude and some just plain rude things he has done to some of the other players, but that would be the only bad thing I can say about the whole week we played, so if the place can get that under control it will be better than perfect. We all would recommend this course and will be back to see the FRIENDLY staff in October!

Good course, nice layout, decent price, terrible customer service.Customer Service Complaint. We drove over from Hoover, Al- Jeff Tyson Nysewander, myself, and Addison Clowers. We got the second tee time, and loved the course. Good price, nice layout, and we made the turn, and ran into 4 gouts waiting to shotgun start off the back nine, as we were playing our back nine and finishing the round. No one offered to tell us this, explain it to us, or even apologize. We went in to complain to Ed in proSHOP, and was told it was common practice to place groups in front of you. Well, I have been playing for over 30 years, and it is not common place, and down right rude and misleading to double book groups, and not offer anything to the offend. I will not be back, I urge anyone that has the time and money from Bham not to visit the facility, or the rude employees, and to stay in Bham and play here. For an Honours course, I am very surprised at this lack of customer service and blatant poor follow up.

I enjoyed some great golf at Cider Ridge. The clubhouse is very nice, quaint with everything you could need and the restaurant was perfect. I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee as well for my morning tee time. The staff is outstanding and personable. The course is awesome and played the II tees which were at roughly 6500 and that was a nice challenging distance for a new course. It had rained so the greens were not rolling as usual. The fairways and greens are in awesome condition and I would love to play it in dry conditions. Also, there is much beauty on this course with elevations changes and lots of water in view with rivers, creeks and lakes but none you have to worry about. One fantastic course, enjoy Cider Ridge Golf Course!

Hi gang, Played here 2013 with a delightful green fee of just $26 bucks incl cart !! The front nine was friendly and inviting for the first-timer to the course but when you got to the back....whew !!!! TThe hills are alive with long carries, tricky fairways and fun galore. I thought how wonderful it was to have those large fans blowing on the greens giving the golfer a refreshing break from the heat/humidity. Being from the West Coast (sunny California) I'm virtually a stranger to 90 deg w/90 % humidity. The large, green fans greenside felt soooooo good. Then I found out they were there for the benefit of the greens from drying out and nothing to do with me. Hmmm.... It's so easy to lose balls on the back nine 'cause if you're off the fairway too much, you're reaching for another ball. I don't know what lurks in the rough areas as far as poison ivy, ticks, rattlesnakes, Bigfoot, etc but I chose not to venture forth. I would highly recommend playing here. The practice facilities are in great shape, staff super friendly and after the round you felt like you've played golf !! Oxford is a little off the beaten path, but worth a visit.Rich

We had 8:30 tee times but arrived at 7:20 AM. Went inside the club house and paid and then asked when was their first tee time which was 8:00 AM. Even though we were over an hour early we asked if we could start and the staff member checked and said go ahead. As we arrived to the first tee the course marshall approached and chatted a while with us. Said we were the first of the day and gave tips on what clubs to avoid on certain holes which turned out to be good advice. The course was in very nice shape and the greens were very nice. It had been raining however and as a result the course was a little soggy in places. Also do the the wet conditions the balls did not get a lot of roll. The course was not too difficult but was challenging. The back 9 was quite hilly and there was a couple of times I felt like we might have to push the cart up a hill. I would be happy to play the course again if in the area.
