Heading back to TX & had some extra time with an overnight stay in Montgomery Alabama. So glad we found this on Trip Advisor. Didn't know otherwise. This was a wonderful push back in time. Not as big as you might think but very worth the stop to me! The people working that day were very friendly & made you feel so welcome. Thank you to them for adding to the pleasure of our trip home. Love the music, love Hank!!

Knowledgeable greeter. Lots of neat stuff from and about Hank and his gang. Took about an hour to complete the self guided tour.

Went to the museum the other week, and enjoyed it immensely! They have a HUGE collection, including many pieces of Hank's expansive suit collection and even the Cadillac he died in. Learned a lot about Hank and Audrey on this visit. The museum staff was very friendly, and they have great merchandise- perfect for a gift or travel trinket. Also, it's in a beautiful and historic part of downtown Montgomery, and after the museum I recommend walking down to Chris's Hotdogs - a favorite of Hank's. I highly recommend a visit!

Loved it. Enroute today Texas from Florida - took route through Montgomery specifically to go to the museum. Not disappointed. For the fours years he "made it" the museum has done a great job of preserving and displaying his success.

Spent several hours enjoying the displays and learning about Hank's life and career. I recommend it to anyone interested in country music.

This was the most comprehensive collection I have ever seen. The clotihing, posters, records, instruments and other documents were amazing. The Cadillac where Williams died was the hihglight.

If you like country music and/or want to see a museum about an icon, stop in for an hour or so and enjoy a great museum. Not a huge museum but well done and an excellent man at the counter answered any questions you may have about Hank Williams. Great gift shop. Lots of exhibits and memorabilia and the infamous Cadillac he died in. Fee was under $10 for seniors.

The museum is a must if you are a Hank fan as I am. It is on Commerce St. in the Montgomery downtown entertainment area known as "The Alley". The building is old, the displays are not fancy but the history is awesome. There are lots of sheet music copies of Hank songs, old 78 RPM and 45 singles, etc. on the walls. There are faded copies of newspapers articles about the deceased singer, including much about his funeral which was a big event in 1953.The feature attraction is a 1952 baby blue Cadillac convertible that was taking Hank to his last performance on New Year's eve, 1952. He died in the back seat that night. You can watch a video, listen to music, or just ask the museum attendant for Hank stories. There is a small gift shop in the front. Cost is $10 regular with discounts for military or seniors. Not at all fancy, just a place full of nostalgia.

This museum is a hidden gem if you are a fan of Hank Williams. I brought my mother here when she came to Montgomery for a visit. The gentleman working the museum was so good, he gave her a personal tour. I think he was excited to have guests. Has a room full of Hank Williams memorabilia, even his car! After the museum be sure to get directions to the cemetery where he is buried, another spot not to miss.

We stopped in just to see what the museum held. If you were a big Hank fan, this is interesting. Otherwise, it seemed a bit overpriced for the opportunity to walk through. You can get in to the shop and find some neats souvenirs without the tour though.

The museum is small but filled with lots of great memorabilia. The staff was friendly and ready to answer any questions. Cute gift shop.

Thank you for your review of our great Museum! Let me add that there are many parking decks surrounding us if you don't want to use the street parking with meters. Meters are only .50 per hour and you can feed it up to 2 hours. It does say not to re-feed the meters but if you need an additional hour you simply add more to the meter. The City wants to keep people from parking all day in one space. We do not have public restrooms but we do offer one for the visitors. You have to ask and we will direct you to it. The Hank Williams Museum is wheelchair accessible.

We did not take the "official" tour but the young woman at the desk told us several stories about Hank. I didn't realize how young he was when he died - 29! Think of what he could have accomplished if he had lived longer. If you are a Hank fan, put this on your list when you are in Montgomery.

I’m a country and western fan so my visit to the museum was fantastic. If you too are a country and western fan then I’m sure you will also enjoy the museum. There is a lot of Hank memorabilia to look at and read, they also have a very interesting video that you can sit and watch. You can’t take pictures but that is understandable and the only negative thing I found was the parking in front of the museum it is limited. So from a statue of Kaw-Liga in the front to Hank’s baby blue 52 Cadillac in the rear go and enjoy and have a great time.
