Being from Victoria, BC, I was amazed to see sailboats and fish boats wintering in Seward. A boat had just come in with fresh grey cod. The fella was kind enough to hold one up for us to take a picture. Although there is no snow here this year, the boats are caked in ice which was a sight to be seen for me.

Perfect timing to tour the Sikuliaq ship this weekend. All people who served for this event were very supportive and informative the venue very clean and full of great historic information. Thank YOU!!

I was in Anchorage for work-related travel and drove from Anchorage to Seward for a day on the weekend. It has some cute shops, but I was too early in the year for visiting many of the attractions and didn't stay in town for long before heading back to Anchorage.

We felt like we were in good hands at the harbor. Ease of walking to and from the boats, all in good order.

Quaint little harbor town, cute shops, good eating, nice strolling and museums. Love the history of the town, learning about the 1964 earthquake and how it has been rebuilt. A very nice day, only need one day to visit all of Seward.

All the boats docked, with cute restaurants and businesses lining the avenue made this are a lovely way to spend time!

We really enjoyed the Seward Boat Harbor area. Great restaurants, shopping and checking out sea otters playing in the marina.

Instead of going into town take the free shuttle from the cruise dock it is the third stop. There are many shops and restaurants in the area.

When in Seward, don't forget to walk along the Small Boat Harbor. Here you will find restaurants and gift stores, tour companies and rental equipment companies. You will see the pleasure boat, the tour boats, the fishing boats, and across the way, a cruise ship if it is in port. You can watch fishermen weigh/display their catch and gut their fish. The best stop, however, was the Kenai Fjords Visiter's Center, where we watched almost the entire 2 hour loop of videos about the glaciers. It was shocking to see the then and now pictures of glaciers that are either completely gone or replaced with water and vegetation.

A beautiful town and the boat harbor just adds to the beauty. Very well organized and maintained. Come here often just to walk and take in the beauty.

The harbor is well organized and the mountains in the back add a beautiful back end. I loved to sit down on the dock and see the boats coming and going.

The harbor was one of our favorite spots in Seward, if not our favorite. It is so busy and it was so interesting to see the commercial fishermen/women cleaning and filleting their catches. We walked onto the fish cleaning platform, but stayed out of the way of the fishermen. So interesting and to see the size of the catch and the size of the fish was really great.

We walked along the docks up and down the rows of varied boats. We met a nice, recently retired couple and their black Labrador who were waiting for their children to join them on the water. It was relaxing and refreshing.

One of my favorite things to do in Seward is walk the docks. You can see what everyone is catching, watch the seals and otters on the marina and just enjoy the amazing scenery around you!
