This is a wonderful place for the regulars to meet and catch up after the crazy work week. I love introducing new friends to go.
#1- There is no food here....Those that thought so must have already had too much beer and were not sure where they were.#2- GREAT brews to try and take with you. They sell growlers and other sizes of jugs, plus they have canned brews now. Great!I like IPA's and theirs is very good.Fun place to visit off the main drag. Building was originally the main auto and truck repair garage in Soldotna and an early home to the volunteer Fire Department.
We stopped in after taking a drive out to the Kenai peninsula. This is simply a tasting room and a good spot to chill for a bit in the middle if the day. It looked like they might serve pizza sometimes, perhaps it is a different place later in the day. It was a nice stop after being in the car riding around and the beer got good marks in our book. Maybe they might think about a snack mix to go with the beer? My sister didn't have a drink because she was on an empty belly... Just a thought.
We stopped here on the 4th of July and were lucky enough that they were open. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. We were able to try their sampling of beers. Very happy to have made it here on our beer tour of Alaska.
Good variety of brews - available in growlers, pigs, kegs. They just opened up a tasting room and sell beer by the glass (12 oz). Fair prices and excellent beer..
This was the first stop on our trip designed solely around Peninsula breweries and it was an outstanding start! The tasting room was brightly lit, clean and comfortable, and full of patrons eager to talk beer. We chatted for a bit, tried a sample of everything on tap, and left with our favorites! We were very happy to see that they can two of their beers and one of those, the Sunken IPA was top notch. The server was very friendly and super efficient, even when he had a bit of a line up. I wished we could have taken the whole set up back to our hometown, which is sorely lacking anything in the brewery department!
I have been here two previous times, August 2011 and January 2012 and now April 2012. Since my last visit they have remodeled and added a new tasting room which is spacious and has tables as well as a nice bar. Maryanne is GREAT as a server, Cory helps brew and Doug Hogue, owner/brewer knows beer, loves beer and his passion shows in the beers he creates. I had Gummi Beer, fantastic. IRPA coming Friday. MIRTH was a double, great. XPA, Breakfast, Sunken Island, try them all.Now with the new tasting room you can bring your own food, eat, and enjoy great beers.I travel a lot, have been to a lot of breweries. But this one tops my list for friendliest staff, friendliest people, friendliest owner, and best best to hang out to meet people and discuss beer. If you are on Untappd, rate these beers HIGH!
This brewery just added a tasting room, I hear. They offer a variety of beers. Samples are fun before deciding on a growler to go. Friendly place to stop and chat.
This is a great place for relaxing after fishing and having a bite to eat and something cold to wash it down with.
It is Thursday August 25th, 2011 and I am back at work and getting ready for the hurricane that is supposed to hit the NY & Long Island area, over this coming weekend. Thought I should let you know that both me and my son, were both happily surprised with our stay at your camp. Never having stayed at a camp like yours, I did not know what to expect in as far as accommodations, food, and fishing charters were supposed to be. Well, all I can say is, all of the above were first rate, and much more then what I expected. I want to say “Thank you all” for making our trip to Alaska truly an experience we will never forget. People, friends, and family, all ask the same questions, what is Alaska like, and the best way I can put it, or explain it, is that Alaska to me, is a state of mind. I cannot put into words the shear beauty and majesty of the places I have seen during my short stay. The magnificent sights, in a way, made me feel very small and humble. I would like to revisit Alaska as soon as my schedule will allow but again thank you so much and the best to all of you in the future.SincerelyJoseph Grosseto Sr.
This place is behind Froso's restaurant....Their beers are fantastic. You stand and order. They have growlers, pigs, pints. Try the Sunken Island IPA, Breakfast Stout or many others.
