And in one spot. In walking distance to downtown motels and transit park. City buses do stop here if you cannot walk more than 4 to ten blocks. I enjoyed walking through the village like hallways and musher/trapper cabin models. I watched a movie of northern life in the theatre and it was very well made in my opinion.

It was my first time visiting Alaska to see my native family also for the first time, and my grandma took me here and I was so fascinated by how much culture there was. Definitely a place worth visiting.

Terrific place. The nicest Visitors centre I have ever seen! Plenty of exhibitions and friendly staff to take care of all your needs! Worth a visit!

My grandson and I were on the river walk and found this place. We went back twice . It is free ! Exciting , informative and great for all ages . Definitely a must see.

Everyone tourist or local should go check this place out. We also love taking the kids in my class here on school field trips.

Friendly helpful staff, loads of information and maps for Alaska, beautiful displays and clean bathrooms. There are a couple of very interesting movies to watch. Look up to see a plane hanging above you! Don't forget to look outside to find the Antler's Arch--maybe even have someone from home capture you on the webcam. It was "cool" to see the ice carving as you walked up the walkway to enter. Seemed to be plenty of parking but we were here in February.

A good place to visit. Gives a good intro about Fairbanks, its people, its seasons and its culture. Don't miss the statues made of ice (at least, it was there in Feb 2015 :P) and the Alaska Antler Arch!

I liked this visitor's center. It was enough to keep me and the kids interested, but not too huge where we'd just get lost. Nice to learn about Morris Thompson and his contributions to Alaska. We 3 thoroughly enjoyed the film by Dick Proenneke "Alone in the Wilderness" and his 30 years alone in the Alaskan wilderness. We watched it twice. http://www.dickproenneke.com/The people working at the Center were extremely friendly and seemed to genuinely want to be there to help us experience as much of Alaska as we could. Very nice.

Very helpful staff and tons of information. Glad we stopped here first to find extra things to do. Gift shop was very good for basic Alaska gifts and books.

A celebration of Interior Alaska’s people, land and culture! Wonderful exhibits and invaluable first stop for visitors! The staff here will go out of their way to make sure you leave well informed and happy with all questions answered!

The center has a plethora of information about whats available to see and do in Fairbanks and surrounding areas. It also displays the four seasons of the interior in large murals incase you aren't planning to stay the entire year.

Really nice place to base trip out of and explore the history and culture of AK. This is where you can get your National Park passport stamped for some of the unreachable places north of here!

This free attraction is the highlight of downtown Fairbanks. It give the history of the area more from the Alaska natives point of view. The vignettes are great, the mini movies are time machines back to a harder time in central Alaska.Ypou will not be disapponted, allow 3 hours in here. Its open late so make it an after dinner treat.

This is THE place to go if you haven't planned your trip or want to know more about the opportunities offered by the city. People are really helpful there. There's is also a very nice (although quite expensive) gift shop and a pretty cool museum that will give you a first insight on beautiful Faribanks.

The staff were friendly and let us know exactly where to go and what to do. They even gave us advice on seeing the Aurora Borealis. The exhibits were also unique and a great introduction to the area and the people of hardy Alaska. ALSO, the National Forest Service has stamps for the National Parks Book there!
