My husband and I have been going to Infusions for a long time and we've never had a bad experience there. We love Chris, the KJ and his wife, Tricia who bartends there. Try the infused vodkas!!!
Some people did tend to sing often, but it was a fun time. They let our loud group have mic time as well!
The bartenders are nice. Love them. The guys in charge of the karaoke seem to pander to the usuals and the females especially. They allow certain people to sing over and over again. It's not a big bar and I've had to wait multiple hours to sing a single song while watching 2 or 3 people taking turns singing. I was kicked out once for no reason. I wasn't being loud, belligerent or anything. I was in the middle of a conversation with a guy I met there and was all of a sudden told I needed to leave. I asked why and there was no explanation given. I've sang a few songs there and I'm not the best singer. But being good isn't what karaoke is about. It's about giving it your all and enjoying singing a song you enjoy to people. It has helped me rid myself of my stage fright so that I can play guitar in front of people. Finally the other night they cut off my song part way through for no apparent reason. So I used the excess time that I would've spent singing to throw some politics and these drunk people. Paraphrasing I said something like "Don't shop at Wal-Mart. It's not a good corporation." I immediately had the mic wrenched out of my hand and was told to leave while people through out the bar yelled things like "He probably works for Wal-Mart" And "Get the eff out of here!" I recall vividly a specific girls who had sang multiple songs through out the night say "Just give up. There's no point fighting Wal-Mart they already won." All of which I found hilarious as I walked silently with out any fight to the door. All in all... ignorant people. That's just how humans work though.Oh yeah and the dude that was at the end of the bar who sung "Semi-charmed Life" by Third Eye Blind(great choice) and yelled something like "Get the eff out of here" as I was leaving; I don't understand the hostility at all. Maybe it was that you noticed that beautiful curly-haired blond girl you were with was smiling at me over your shoulder half the night. Complete truth. It was fun all in all. The bartenders are great and deserve tips. The two fat douches in charge I would definitely say need to stop being such fat douches. It would be good for their health and the bar. :)
