twin creek crystal mine

If you are over 11 Yrs and wand to dig big crystals, this is the place. This is not a slag plié, left overs. this is the real thing, pick a crack in the cliff and start to dig. We went to two other mines and both were slag piles left overs. The lady of the mine was wonderful and watch out for your safety and helped you pick the correct place to dig. The cost is $25 each and worth every penny.

We had so much fun.Found lot's of crystals. Everyone in the family will love this place.It"s a beautiful place to have lunch at. The drive was great we seen deer every where.Miss Dixie was educational on the Crystals. If you want to learn about crystals ask Miss Dixie.I'll be back.

We have been here a three times since September! Quite, peaceful, and full of crystals! Miss Dixie and Miss Jean are pleasures to be around. I'm going back one more time before winter sets in. It's always exciting to find beautiful crystals and some don't need a lot of work to get. Sometimes you don't know what you have till you get home and clean them up. It's worth the price when you factor in what you pay at a new age shop for crystals. It's always a nice time..

This was one of the mines for the crystal dig contest. Owners very nice. Pretty easy drive up to mine. 2 wheel should have no problem.

Twin Creek owner Dixie is a jewel. We loved visiting with her and everything we found at Twin Creek was beautiful. Can't wait to go back in October for the World Championship Quartz Crystal Dig.

After crystal mining at 3 different mines in the Mt Ida area we hit the twin creek crystal mine. This was an open pit mine with a rock wall with numerous crystal veins. We hit the mother lode!!!!!! tons of crystals, nice area and $25 per person all day was very competitive with other mines. The location was about 20 min off the main road on a gravel road but our minivan made it fine. The owner was friendly and informative about how to approach the crystal veins. In comparison with other mines that I have visited I found this mine routinely exposes new areas (blows up rock) which gives more opportunity to find better crystals.
