My wife and attended one of the hidden gems in the Ozarks, a One Act Play held at the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, AR. The play, written by staff member - Keith Scales, is a entertaining and intriguing play that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats throughout trying to figure out who is who and what is going to happen next. The actors; Debra Workman & Rebecca Becker, are on par with any actor on Broadway or on any stage in the world. They bring their characters to life and bring the audience with them on a funny and thrilling 1 hour ride. A must see when in Eureka Springs! Bravo!

A must do every trip, glad my girl got to take it in before rest of party arrived. With everything else on agenda, we only had time for a drive by! Girlfriends pics completely capture our sacrifice...

We loved this old historic building that is still used as hotel. It has a great gift shop with local artisan works and others that were high end products, The lady working in the gift shop was very helpful and personable. The tour trolly and people working it was incredibly helpful and informative.

One of the women is a ghost. One of the women is a killer. (That's all we knew, when we sat down before the play began - - and I'm not going to spoil it for you here...)That premise, though, was intriguing enough to tempt us into buying tickets - - and we're so glad we did!!The two actresses are unbelievably good - - honestly, we were drawn into their story and the hour just sped by. The play is cleverly written and directed, but it's the acting that just shoots you right into the mystery, the fun, the supernatural nature of it all.Go see it. It's worth a trip to Eureka Springs, just for that play!!!

"Not Really a Door" - a play by Keith Scales was playing at the Crescent Hotel Theater. It is a one act / two character play that was just wonderful! The actresses were awesome and played the scene out with passion! The story will keep you on your toes with some twists and turns - keep up with it if you want to figure out who is really "back from the dead....with baggage." Don't miss this one!!(We arrived a little early and enjoyed a cocktail on the restaurant balcony overlooking the Arkansas rolling hills.)

I'm assuming review is for the play, "Not Really A Door". We had seen the play last year and loved it and decided to see it again. I'm sorry to say the front desk of the Crescent Hotel absolutely doesn't even promote this play. When we went to purchase the tickets early in the week, they said.....check back on the day of the play to see if enough tickets are sold. That's not exactly how you get people to see the play!! We asked again in a few days and they said the same thing.....we said, we'd like to go ahead and purchase them. There were only a few peope there and I totally understand why. Please go to the play. You will love it. The ladies have gone to alot of trouble learning their parts and you will enjoy the play! We will see it again next year! ......but we won't stay at the Crescent Hotel again!

If you are visiting Eureka Springs don't miss this play. It was a great evening's entertainment. The show was delightful and well worth the money for quality theatre.

Loved this 2 woman play following a ghost tour of the Crescent Hotel! Seemed a natural sequel to the tour and we weren't disappointed! Jam packed hour!

My husband and I went to the "Not Really A Door" play. I really enjoyed it! The story line kept me interested with all the unexpected twists and turns. The two actresses were great! I was a bit disappointed that besides my husband and I, only two other couples were in attendance. I'm not sure my husband enjoyed it as much as I did. I think he thought it was just ok. It lasted an hour, but the twists and turns in the plot made it go by very fast! I'm glad we went. Only thing I wish was different was the time. It started at 10pm, which is a little late for me.

We really enjoyed the play 'Not Really a Door'. It was a delightful! Both of the actresses did a wonderful job with their parts in this clever play. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, I didn't! This is a must-see if you are in the area. The play goes well with the theme of the 'haunted' Crescent Hotel.

'Not Really a Door' is a great play, well written and brilliantly acted. Its appeal for me is in the way it keeps leading the audience in different directions, just when you think you know where it's heading you realise you don't. There are laughs too, it's a great way to spend an evening and I can't wait for the sequel.

We saw "Flickering Tales" on Friday night and "Not Really a Door" on Saturday night at the Crescent Hotel. Both evenings were lots of fun. Ghost stories in the light and warmth of a camp fire overlooking a beautiful moonrise and wooded bluff was a wonderful change from the every day. "Not Really a Door" was engaging from beginning to end; the play keeps you guessing and the performances are very strong. Highly recommended during your trip to Eureka Springs.

We saw "Not Really a Door" a couple of weeks ago, and we're still talking about it! It was one of the highlights of our trip. We didn't really know what to expect - - and we're pretty hard to please when it comes to theater, but the play was really clever, and really well written, and the acting surprised us. Those two women were great!! As another reviewer said, the blonde woman is, honestly, exceptional, but they both did a wonderful job.None of us figured out which one was the ghost (I don't want to give too much away here, but it's about two women, and you don't know which one is alive - - it's fun!) and the ending was a big surprise. Don't miss it!

I expected something rather theatrical but what I got was a cheesy show that lasted just a little bit too long and drawn out. Not only that but the story line was off. I won't spoil it for those who are looking to see it; but the two characters were in the wrong time periods for the parts they played. It could have been a little better written and the "special effects" could have been way better for the price per ticket. However; I have to say the blonde lady played her part exceptionally well. I wouldn't watch it again, but it was worth watching once.
