the galaxy connection

Looking for something to do with my grandsons (ages 7 & 9) on a Friday afternoon in Hot Springs when everything else was closed, we stumbled upon this "Star Wars Museum." We were so glad we did! Richard went out of his way to open for us and include us in the tour he had just started with another couple. The tour includes several rooms with life-size figures (a storm trooper, Darth Vader, etc.), and the tour guide explains each character and some very interesting and little-known fun trivia about the movie and Lucas! He allowed my grandsons some fun hands-on experiences and they thoroughly enjoyed it (as did I)!!! I recommend calling ahead to make sure they are open and that you have a tour scheduled. Also, it's not a huge over-the-top professional museum, but rather a personal collection of items, but pretty impressive for Hot Springs, Arkansas!

Alright - at first blush, you might be thinking the folks that go to a Star Wars museum are gonna be a bunch of geeks (or worse, the folks running it will laugh at your lack of knowledge). Nothing could be further from the truth - the owner's wife was extremely personable, Richard was great -- and we were blessed to have Elijah lead our tour!My 10 yr old son has recently gotten into Star Wars this last year and soaked up a ton of trivia on our visit to the Galaxy Connection. The museum is rather small - but the tour is well done and led in small groups of 10 or less. It takes a little under 1 hour to go through the tour --- and should be perfect for kids 8 - 14... younger ones will still enjoy it, older ones will probably be challenged on some trivia. I'm sure the hosts will adapt accordingly just as we experienced. Speaking of -- Elijah is a H.S. Senior who's parents can be very proud that the 5 adults and 3 kids on our tour today certainly felt entertained, enlightened and led by a true professional!My favorite part was learning a bit more of the story behind the story of the owner and read his testimony. As a fellow believer, it will bring great joy and make your visit even sweeter as you end your tour picking up the small pamphlet called "My Dark Side"You'll be blessed on your visit to The Galaxy Connection - a young museum that is very well done and hopefully around for many years to come!

My husband and I went to galaxy connection. Richard did the tour for us and another family. He was a great host. We learned a lot of very interesting facts about the story and movies. If you are a Star Wars fan then you should enjoy this a great deal!

Great place to see in Hot Springs! Lots of fun for the family and kids . Star wars fans a must see! Great collection ! We will definately go back!
