We drove to the top of the mountain and then took the elevator to the top of the tower for a 360 view of the area.

West Mountain is a federally protected forest over looking Hot Springs. My wife and I go there numerous time in a year. It is romantic as well as breath taking sometimes.

First, let me tell you . . . if you know what a real mountain is, you'll laugh. The first time I went to the mountain and we drove up it in less than 10 minutes, I asked "Where's the mountain?"I grew up in Colorado. Hot Springs Mountain's really just a large hill, but that doesn't take away from the view at the top. I love the place. Great for picnics, great for pictures. Very relaxing most of the time :)

Just go. You will not be disappointed.The trails are marked and maps are available; there are shelters and rest stops; and places to just look and enjoy the forest.

Easy hikes around the mountain for all abilities. Drive up to the top and enjoy the views or hike the longer trails to get a bit more exercise.

This is worth your time. We have family there and I just love going to the Tower. It gives you an amazing view of Hot Springs. Its a must go to!

Wow!!!! The view from this tower is amazing! You can see a long way in all directions. We loved the view.

Driving up the mountains in Hot Springs is breathtaking. We spent hours driving around making videos of our experience. I highly recommend and end up at Gulfa Gorge park.

This is definitely worth a trip just for the view. I bet it would be even more beautiful in the fall when the leaves are changing. If you are afraid of heights, then you may not want to do this one. I really liked how they had signs up to tell you which direction you were facing (north, south, east, west). I wish I had known about the hiking trail that is near by before going because I would've taken my boots with me. It is still worth the trip in the winter.

If you go any time of the year, the mountains will sure amaze you.. very less crowded town and nice shops and lovely mountains around.

Getting to the top of the mountain by car or foot is worthy of your time and effort. The observation tower is worth the price of admission, you get a very good view of the surrounding area.

Breathtaking view, awesome hiking trails, nice paved road from top to bottom, plenty of places to stop and enjoy the view.
