Found this studio while exploring the back roads of the area en route to Vermont. What a surprise to find such sophistication hidden in the hills! Laurie turned a nice old dairy barn into a great working studio and gallery space. She kept much of the details intact, but made it work for her way of painting. She made us very comfortable, as did Boris, resident canine assistant (adorable). Her work is really beautiful and reminds me of Rothko sometimes. I see from her location why she paints the way she does...calm, soothing and inspiring. We felt very lucky to have found her and have a new fav artist!
