One of the first things I did was visit the Bridge of flowers and even when I am not crazy at all about flowers I just loved the place and the idea. I think it was a nice and very special landmark. Nature taking over that structure so it won't go to waste. My mom would go crazy there if she could visit.

If you love flowers & gardening, your life will not be complete without seeing the amazing Bridge of Flowers. This is a must see in spring, summer & fall. Go often! It changes daily! Simply unbelievable! Don't miss this gem in this quaint, sweet New England town :-D

A lovely garden of flowers which stretches over a bridge in Shelburne Falls. It was very colourful with a good range of flowers, including hibiscus and dahlias. Very beautiful and also unusual. A credit to the gardeners. There is a charming village just over the bridge so if you are hungry or thirsty it fits the bill.

It looks like it could be a beautiful bridge during the late spring to early fall season. During the off season the gate at each end are padlocked closed. You can walk on an old traffic bridge the runs along side this. It is free with free parking and lots of shops and eateries at each end.

Around 46 years ago as a boy I lived on Water St directly across from the Bridge of Flowers. I spent quite a few summers walking the tourist from the stop in front of my house proudly across the street to a point in the center of the bridge where there is a plaque on a stone. This plaque had several WWI and WWII names upon it, among them was my Grand Uncle and another gentle that the VFW was named after. I would point at the names to the people I brought to the center and advised them that John James Kennedy was my relative. His father was Laurence and his brother was also Lawrence. His brother was my grandfather, often people would listen to my story. I was definitely long winded. I would go into my family history and let them know that I was named after my great great grand father. After my story I often got a pat on the head and a nickle which I would use later to but penny candy from the corner store.Them memories I have and pride of knowing my history related to the bridge always gives me tingles and tears. Patrick James Kennedy

Worth the trip if you're heading to Vermont. Stop at Shelburne Falls and spend some time admiring this bridge beautifully covered in flowers. The pub directly adjacent to the bridge does reasonable food and has nice views of the bridge and the river.

Well worth the trip. Take the time to walk around the town and shop at the local merchants. This is a nice, little down with the bridge and the falls right near each other, as well as many local shops and eateries.

An interesting feature behind this project. The bridge is decked with flowers on both sides with a walkway down the middle. There is no charge, but donations are requested. It is worth a look and across the road is the glacial potholes and falls.

It was lightly raining during our visit; but the flowers were still awesome and you can tell from the volunteers how much pride they take in their work

The bridge was a joy to visit with so many lovely flowers - mainly dahlias when we were there - and beautifully maintained. Try not to miss it if anywhere nearby.

Lots and lots of dahlias! Nice manageable distance to walk for kids/seniors. No fee / donations requested.

This attraction is actually worth the hour to stop by. Just a few minutes off the main highway, you come across a quaint little town straight out of the movies. Parking was plentiful enough and the sights are free. The bridge is well maintained and worth a peek. Don't plan your day around it, but do stop in. Try the fudge at the beginning of the bridge. Nice photo op.

What a pleasant surprise on our journey through the Mohawk Trail! We stopped to see the Bridge of Flowers in October and weren’t sure how many actual flowers would still be in bloom. To our surprise we were greeted with so much beauty! Many were dahilas but we did see some hydrangea, delphinium, and others. Definitely worth a trip to see how an old trolley bridge has been transformed into something beautiful. Kudos to the volunteer caretakers and all who donate to keep this bridge in bloom! As a side note we were visiting the week the movie “The Judge” was released and learned that part of the movie was filmed in Shelburne Falls. We made it a priority to go to Pittsfield and see the movie while we were there to enjoy all the scenes from Shelburne Falls!

We went recently October 15 2014 and the flowers are absolutely gorgeous! Views from the bridge are so pretty. This is a must see!
