If you live in New England and have not been to the big E you are probably unique. It's an extremely busy fair with lots of great things to see , do and EAT!!!! There is the usual farm stuff but we spend most of our time shopping and eating.... DEEP FRIED BUTTER... are you kidding me !! Awesome stuff! Plenty of local restaurants and good drinking venues. The amusement park is typical but you have no trouble Winning prizes at the games Plenty of parking. Sometimes it takes a while to get there through the traffic.... But it's worth it.

The Big E is a yearly routine for my family and I for the past 24 years. We have always enjoyed going as a family, because there is something for everyone to do.

Went to a dog show at the Big E and was extremely disappointed to arrive to a parking lot that was a sheet of ice and we stayed over until the next day and after a light snowfall found the parking lot was even worse! When you are transporting highly prized show dogs and their equipment it would be in the venue's best interest not to set themselves up for a lawsuit and spend the money required to clear the parking lot so it's safe for exhibitors.

Always a good time and the food is amazing. That will get you every time. I try to go at least once a year. If you are traveling with the family, it is best to go on weekdays. Weekends are almost always packed. Prices can vary as you have to pay for everything so it is recommended that you use coupons whenever possible (parking, admission, food, rides, and anything else you want to pick up). Traffic can get hectic on warm days but overall a good time.

There is something for everyone at the Big E. Food, rides, shopping, entertainment, it's all there. Really

Large buildings with concrete floors and high ceilings. The facilities have bathrooms, food, and lots of parking. It is somewhat annoying that if you attend a three day trade show, you must pay a separate parking fee for each day you attend. This being the case, you think they would do a better job clearing the snow in the winter. No matter where you park, trudging through some snow seems inevitable. The staff at the facility could be nicer and other than the parking this is a fairly nice venue.

I was at a weekend long Poultry Show. The facility was fantastic & the grounds of the place are overwhelming. I plan to come back for the Eastern States Exposition sometime.

I attended the Springfield Motorcycle Show here. The venue is huge and has plenty of amenities. However, I would recommend bringing cash for any event here. There is an ATM on site, but it gets crowded quickly.

The Big E is a great attraction every year in West Springfield. There are so many things to see and enjoy. It attracts visitors from many surrounding states. If you happen to come to Massachusetts make sure you check for the dates that it will be going on.

If you're like us, you like a lot of things about New England --- and that's why we are drawn back year after year. When we discovered the BIg E, it became our favorite! The food is excellent, the music and entertainment is first class, the exhibits are better than any we've seen at typical state fairs. This regional event brings in the best of all six states. We tell all our friends about it and are planning to go again in 2015. There's a big midway but you can spend an entire day without even going near the rides, there's so much to see and do. We love the Mardi Gras parade, the classic cars, the Clydesdales, the lobster rolls, the apple crisp, the stuffed potatoes, the Swedish pancakes, the Avenue of the States, Storrowton Village....and every time we've been there, it's clean and there aren't any rowdies around. In fact, this year a woman driving a minivan out of the parking lot happened to bump my purse (but not me). The security force got her license plate and was ready to track her down. They actually came after me to make sure I was okay. Of course, I was absolutely fine, but we were so impressed. So worth the six-hour drive and we've found loads of things to do in Western Massachusetts to make a great fall week out of it!

there's so many things to do and things to see in here. The farm animals and farm produce was most interesting. I loved the crafty home made items. There were too many food choices and left there too full. Make sure drive around a little for the parking in the surrounding area, the price varies from $3 to $10.

Glad to see new venders and just love the state houses with food each state is known for Ya have to visit them and good prices great portion for the money

Quality clinicians,and more exhibits, and shopping thanin any other place I've been recently...Montana has very little to offer horsemen in the way of expos, etc.....the Equine Affaire is one of the only things I miss about the East Coast!

Great fair. Getting bigger every year. So much to see and do. They have a circus, great midway, every food you can think of. There are many shows, some that you pay for, but most are free. The animals and farm produce are great. The first day is for vets and service people who get in free. Have to pay for parking and entrance. Handi capped accessible. Have horse events and so much more. You spend the whole day and still don't see it all. The giant slide is cool and they have a zoo and petting area and a daily parade. Each New England state has it's own buildings which displays their wares and local foods. It is always in September so try to go and it will be a whole day of entertainment.

I sadly always expect institutions to deteriorate with time; especially something as old-time as a state fair. I was very surprised. The fair was full of the old items I remembered, and they've added new ones (like the circus tent). It was kept much cleaner than I ever remembered. So much to do with the whole family that it is hard to fit in a day. The kids had a great time, but there are so many adult attractions I might want to go without them next year.
