The wines and staff are very nice. They have an outdoor seating area that is winterized appropriately which is great. Good interior space too.

Great first experience tasting local wines. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. The patio was nice and we enjoyed our glass of wine with crackers and cheese. We came home with a bottle of McIntosh Run. Great for all relationship types.

While on a romantic stay, we traveled to Port of Leonardtown Winery. The service was excellent and the wine was good for the price. We bought a couple of bottles to take home. We did the tastings, bought some cheese and crackers to have out on the porch. I would go back and do this trip again.

My husband and I had been to Port of Leonardtown before, and enjoyed the wines even more the second time around! The tasting room is small, but cute with lots of "wine accessories" and artwork to purchase. They also have some small fare like crackers and cheese to enjoy with a glass of wine. Tastings are reasonably priced and there are many to choose from. We found every wine we tried to be VERY tasty -- especially the Chambourcin Reserve. We could've bought everything! It isn't the most picturesque setting, but there is nice covered outdoor seating to enjoy a sandwich and wine. We'll certainly return again.

We had an intimate wine tasting with a few family and friends. Very good wine and got to keep the glass. We will return soon

My husband tried one of the Port of Leonardtown wines at a Maryland restaurant that featured local wine flights. He enjoyed it so much we decided to take a little trip out there...we were not disappointed! We purchased the Groupon Deal and it was a fantastic value (there was NO eye-rolling when they saw our Groupon). They ended up getting their money's worth out of us anyway since we purchased 8 bottles of wine (some for gifts, and some for us)!True, it isn't much to look at when you get there, but the staff is very knowledgeable and super friendly. Plus, the wines are pretty good as well (and you can bring your own picnic). We had a wonderful time and will definitely return.

Great little winery in our corner of southern MD. Attending a wine tasting event with girlfriends and was not disappointed at all. We came away with seven bottle of wines and a new venue for a Girls Night Out (on the calm side). The wine tasting was both enjoyable and educational. give this place a try and maybe enjoy some music while you are there.

We enjoyed our "First Friday" visit to the Port of Leonardtown winery. The special for this month was a $5 tasting of six wines and you got to keep the very nice wine glass! They have a great selection of wines for all tastes and you can learn about local wine culture and how the wine is made with a free back room tour. We were entertained by live music, which we could enjoy inside with snacks, or out on the patio. It's a great spot to meet friends or to unwind. We like the idea that the wines are from our local area and our purchases help to keep local farms prospering.

This winery is unique because the grapes cmd from a coop of growers. Personally I think this allows them to make a larger variety of wines than if they came from one grower. The wines were delicious and they had some dryer and some less dry varieties, so I would choose this as a place to meet friends and sample wines. The manager and our server were friendly, personable and knowledgeable about the wines. We paid $10 for two tastings and got to keep the glasses. I went with my husband and we each tasted 8 wines, and since they had 18 wines total, and we shared our tastings we tried all their wines except for two. We purchased the Captain's Table red wine blend, which I thought was a drinkable red, and the Chaptico Rose, which is less sweet than a White Zin and a bit more complex. The tasting room is at the edge of a park, so don't expect to see vineyards.

My husband and I attended the first Wine and Dine dinner of a series of four. Small plates from the Laughing Pickle paired with Port of Leonardtown wines. Most of the wines were paired well with the food, but taste is subjective. A couple of the food pairings, they gave you two samples (one white, one red). If they gave you two samples, it was 1 oz each. If they gave you one sample, it was 2 oz each. The food was good, but no WOW factor. I thought overall for $35 a person, it was well priced, tasty and enjoyable. My only complaint is the number of people they put in a small space. The server had a very difficult time trying to work her way to each table, stepping on people's coats, rubbing up on their chairs. If they reduced the crowd by one table, there should be enough space. Then entire dinner was two hours which would have been great if we had more people in our party but with only myself and my QUIET husband, it was a bit long.

This is a wonderful place to meet a friend, try some local wine, relax, and enjoy some down conversation. The place is very small, but is cozy and well staffed. They do sell a small selection of cheeses and crackers (grocery store variety) in case you get the munchies. I would love to see them add a veggie and fruit tray, or something a little more in the snack line. Highly recommend though!

We stop here often. Love the wines. And we volunteer occasionally at festivals and bottling. Love that the grapes are from a coop of local growers.

Cute little shop that sells and makes local wines. Has alot of past pictures and bar from the past. Great infomation is given out while you sample some of the local wines. My favorite Brenton Bay Breeze.

We used a Groupon that was very generous. We tasted 8 wines that were all delicious. The people working there were so helpful. Since we were there on Saturday evening, there was live music until 8:00 on their patio. We had wine and cheese and had a very relaxing time. We took home two bottles of wine this time.

We have done several Groupons here for wine tastings and we always leave with multiple wines. The wine's here are some of our favorite in the area. The Breton Shoals and apple wine is a particular favorite for us. With the groupon's, the tasting is very affordable with 10 tastings, 2 free glasses, and a bottle you can't get any cheaper. We went Sunday and left with 4 extra bottles of wine because everything was 25%.There is also a nice patio area by the canoe launch to enjoy a bottle or two. Only reason I did not give it a 5 is because during the tastings we did not gain a complete understanding of how the wines were made. The wines are delicious and very reasonable priced at about $10 a bottle.
