带我们参观的那个年轻男孩儿的名字我记不起来了,不过他真的非常棒,和他一起参观是件很有意思的事儿。我们学到了很多有关于香料贸易的知识,还知道了是哪种香料让桑吉吧在历史上变得那么出名。我们非常享受这次的参观过程。我们是2011年去的这儿,而不是2012年3月。

Thank's for all effort to delight our visit to this small but admirable exhibition and inspiring project.

The main purpose of the centre is to provide an income for those who had to give up their farming when the reserve area was established. People bring whatever is needed to breed and earn money that way. The centre sells the pupae to some butterfly gardens. We managed to capture about five species on camera in the heat of the day.

Well. it's not very big, but there are a few beautiful specimens of butterfly - and a very friendly guide, telling you what it's all about and giving you all the time you need for some nice photographs

The butterfly center isn't a long visit, but it's nice. In addition to seeing beautiful butterflies, you're helping support the local community and wildlife habitat.Bathroom facilities were not clean however....

Small and nice place where there is no problem seeing the butterflies. Friendly and informative guide :) Entrance fee is 10.000 Tsh.

It's a very basic place, I believe that there are lot more sanctuaries which perform better than this one. However, helping the locals with a small fund of donation/ purchase can be a good deed. The most intriguing thing is that you can actually spot some monkeys outside the butterfly centre!

This is a nice project which aim is to help local communities to use nature in a sustainable way! Protection is linked in this center with economic development and the fact that people from the village are responsible for it makes it even more interesting! The butterflies are simply beautiful, seeing the cocoons was very nice and the presentation was useful and nice to listen to!If you are in the area, this is a must-do!

It was a nice stop after visiting Jozani forest. It was lovely to see the butterflies and take pictures of them. We were also very happy to know that we supported the local butterfly farmers and thereby helped protected the nature.
