The entrance to the blue hole though bells was great. I really enjoyed this site, the fish were everywhere and the coral looked mostly healthy. It was good from 30 meters up to 10... There were quite a few other divers in the hole at the end when we were all doing safety stops but it was fun not overly crowded. Watched a tech diver with a DPV cruise back and forth for most of my safety stop. There are lots of restaurants and spots to hang out. The bathroom cost 2 pound but was nice.

Go earlier in the day if possible to avoid the crowds. You will be encouraged to eat at one of the local cafes at the site so bring a little extra cash if you wish to do so.

Right next to the restaurants & bars.. Perfect site. ( especially if you have a non diving partner - which I have )If you enter via The Bells, it can feel a bit scary. straight down to 30 metres.one by one - so if you are following your dive master or buddy you can't see anything but bubbles,& at the bottom you have to go through what seems like a v. small hole ( especially the first time ).The coral wall on the outside is lovely,When we went inside the Blue Hole, I enjoyed watching the free divers.( not something for me - but interesting to watch. )No coral or great fish inside the Blue Hole & it's scary looking down.Hope you enjoy!. I did.

It was a very sad experience for me to see all the coral reefs totally ruined. I only did snorkeling, so I cannot judge the diving experience.

Brilliant diving and snorkelling in a former Bedouin fishing village. Wonderful atmosphere and access to deep water almost on beach. Great snorkelling over the lip into the blue hole.If you go on a tour to the area the local restaurants provide good simple food served in very atmospheric terraced areas overlooking the beach.Good reasonably priced equipment hire and lots of dive companies. Finish off with a camel ride along the coast - if that's your thing !

Excellent snorkelling here, around the outside of the reef, rather than in the Blue Hole itself. The coral round the inside lip of the Blue Hole seems to largely be dead, with little to no sealife on it. However over the lip and into the sea there is excellent coral stretching both directions along the beach.Toilets are clean, but cost 2LE to use. Food and drink is fairly priced and good, beware the little kitties running around, they won't bite you, but they'll quite happily steal fish off your plate. I lost a chunk of tuna to one very adorable little grey kitten.

The Blue Hole is a must visit dive site. We began at DeBells and finished at the Blue Hole. The mix of coral reefs, deep blue and marine life is incredible. Snorkelers would also have an amazing time. As another reviewer commented, things are looking a bit run down with the lack of tourism. But there were clean bathrooms, and places to relax and have a beverage.

Kinds loved it - lolling around under shady rush tent things, drinking chilled drinks, seeing amazing fish,

Didn't dive but you can snorkel along the shore ending up over the Blue Hole which is very very deep!

When in Dahab, a visit to the Blue Hole is paramount. Listed as the most dangerous dive site in the world, it is still the most stunning site to visit. It ideal for swimming and snorkelling, or just admiring. It is literally a hole in the ground a little paddle off the beach, and goes down to great depth of gin clear blue water. An hours stroll along the beach, or hitch a lift on one of the many dive pick-ups gong to and from.

You will never be the same after sub diving at Blue Hole ..please protect this precious environment.

With few tourists this place is starting to look a bit down at heel. Just so you know there's a charge to use the toilet facilities, but they are reasonably well kept (compared to other dive site facilities around Dahab) Friendly service but the food was not great this time. The diving is nice... watch out for the fins of divers of a certain nationality banging on the corals and having no idea of protocols.

the best place in south Sinai for snorkeling and diving, also many sitting Bedouin area for food, rest and drink.
