ginga no taki falls

大概是这趟北海道之行最让人觉得不值得一游的景点,加上又得拉上好一段车才到,更让人觉得不值,若是喜欢走山林步道的话倒还勉强值得一试,或许还有机会遇上真正野生的黑熊;来之前要先上好厕所,因为这里大概是我造访日本多地所遇过最脏的公用厕所....

This is my 2nd time at the waterfall during winter seasons and its a very beautiful place, despite frozen water and covered with thick snow. The floor is very slippery due to frozen ice so you have to be extra careful. I fell down once there. The temperature is very cold due to strong winds. So you cannot stay out in the open for too long. There is a little souvenir store which most of us went hiding inside there and end up buying food stuff. The staff is very friend and will offer you a drink (think its pepper tea) and trust me, in that super duper cold weather, the hot piping drink is a saviour.

Beuatiful waterfalls, in a pleasant park.Makes an excellent spot to break up your drive. Large car park with toilet facilities, small souvenir shop. Small park for a stroll, but very picturesque location for some happy snaps.

The best time to head to Ginga & Ryusei falls is just after sunrise. The falls faces east ward and as the sun rises behind the hills, it lights up the waterfalls. Furthermore, everyone else is still sleeping or having breakfast in the hotels, so you have the entire place to yourself. If you are able to climb, there is a observatory spot approximately 400m up from the back of the souvenir shops where you can take pictures of both the falls.

quiet environment with very fresh air but waterfall not outstanding

The Ginga and Ryusei no Taki Falls are nice but average scenery, recommended only if you happen to be in the area. The falls are a short distance into the valley from the onsen hotels.

My group comprised of elderly ladies . Some with vision impairment and some need help with walking sticks. They were able to move around comfortably in the parking area and see both the waterfalls. The snack stalls were delightful with interesting snacks such as yubari melon served with ice-cream.

This is one of the two famed waterfalls found within Sounkyo Gorge, and personally my favourite of the two, as it really looked like it was taken out from a Chinese painting. The falls itself is quite tall, so when you stand by the river and look upwards, it really does appear rather majestic. But if you’re looking for a Rhine Falls Niagara Falls, or Huka Falls where there is an impressive amount of water flowing through, then you’d be quite disappointed. Again, the place tends to be crowded with tourists, so be patient!

The view is ok, you can see two waterfall here from far, and nothing else. Half an hour is enough to stop by.

Was here this morning and it was raining. In fact the place is actually a valley and understand from the the guide that it's not the most spectacular ones in Japan. Have been to shiraito water falls and found that one to be more beautiful.This one the streams of water seems to be light and small though it's raining. It's filled with tourist and might be challenging to find a clean shot.

層雲峡のホテル街から車で１０分ほど。銀河の滝・流星の滝と二つ並んであります。瀧がメインというよりは、渓谷美や奇岩に滝も付いているという感じでしょうか。これだけの為にというよりは、温泉のついでにというところか。お土産屋さんやトイレもあるので、立ち寄りやすいです。写真撮影も含めて１０～１５分程度の滞在でしょうか。

観光バスや修学旅行の学生さんがいて混んでいましたが、紅葉がきれいで滝と紅葉のいい写真を撮ることができました。

大雪山の噴火で流れ出たマグマの迫力を目の当たりにし、感動しました。自然の力の偉大さに感動！白樺の樹液がお土産で売られていました。

銀河の滝は層雲峡にある約120mの落差を水が白糸のように穏やかに落ちる滝。すぐ横にある”流星の滝”に対して女滝といわれる。流星の滝ほど水量はないですがしなやかな曲線を描いて岩肌を流れるその姿は、まさに女性的なやさしさをもつ滝です。流星の滝のすぐ隣にあって、駐車場も共用です。

層雲峡付近にある滝です。行ったときは水量がかなり多くて見ごたえがありました。休憩にはちょうどいいかも知れません。すぐ近くにトイレも完備されていて便利でした。
