The Best dolphinarium of Cuba. The show was excellent. Than we could swim with the dolphines. This was sooo nice.
The show itself was very much like any other dolphin show I’ve ever seen. If they ask for volunteers do it. You get to kiss a dolphin and if you are lucky and wearing bathing suit you might get to stand on the nose of 2 dolphins! I chose to swim with the dolphins and much to my joy and wonder I swam alone with the 2 dolphins! It was wonderful! I got to kiss them, pat them, swim with them – and yes I got to stand on their noses. Those are some strong animals! Smile at the photographer! He takes better pictures than your family and you can buy them on a CD for 40 CUC. Still including pictures it is cheaper than any other place I’ve ever seen and you swim in a lagoon surrounded by mangrove, so it feels somewhat natural.
First, you need to know that booking through your hotel is CHEEPER than at the Delfinario. Otherwise: a small dolphinarium, with 2 or 3 dolphins. The centre is clean, the show is cute with lots of audience participation (adult and youth), the dophins look healthy. And if you choose to do so, the swimming portion is worth it, with a good 20 to 30 minutes in the water. For an additional fee, ($40 cuc for our family) you can get a CD of quality pictures (about 3 mb each).
beautiful experience, do not miss it, it's expensive, but worth it, the people are very friendly and the place is wonderful
Great dolphin show, nice environment. For a bigger amount of dinero (+40 CUC) you can swim with the dolphins - and do some tricks too. There's a photographer, so if you don't have a really good equipment (with some serious zoom), you can buy the photos made by them.
There's a show with dolphins, but the great thing is the possibility that we have to swim with dolphins. Fantastic!
Kids loved it!! The show had a lot of crowd participation, and we did the "swim with the dolphins" after the show. We all got to ride on their snouts. It was an unforgettable experience in a beautiful location! It is not in a pool or aquarium, but rather right in a bay in the ocean.
One of the stops on our recent Cuba Cruise was in Cienfuegos Cuba. I had done some research and found that this was the best priced place to be able to swim with Dolphins. For only $50.00 per person we suited up and got in the water with 2 beautiful dolphins. There was only a small amount of people in the water so we had plenty of time to enjoy our experience. These creatures are so intelligent and they seemed very happy and healthy. After our personal swim time we got out of the water and then stayed for the Dolphin show. It was excellent. I would highly recommend this place. When we left we went less than a block up the street to Rancho Luna beach and spent the rest of the day on the beach. It was awesome.
One of the best experiences in my life, swimming with dolfins. Such interesting, funny and intelligent animals. They even do tricks with you!! Like giving kisses and lifting you up above the water!!
Good time guaranteed, with interaction with dolphins. Just express Your willingness to participate in the show
Probaby the best and also maybe the cheepest delfinario of them all. Spectacular shows! If you go, you must swim with the dolphines. It is a must!
Of course, you cannot compare the Delfinario with the ones in the US. But ist is nice and you will be usually among some few visitors. Compared to other "attractions" in Cuba, it is among the better ones. They have approx. half a dozen dolphins their and the guys give you the impression that they like their job.At the end of the show, they invite a visitor to do a ride with them; good spectacle!
The dolphin show is really good. We enjoyed it so much. You can swim with the dolphins at the end of the show if you pay extra money for it ( I don't remember how much). There is a little cafe in the delfinario where you can buy ice cream, drinks and sandwichs.
I'm sure if you go to Florida the location, show and tricks will be much more impressive, but here it was slightly knackered and charming in the usual Cuban way. The show was cheap and diverting, and the swimming with dolphins was magical, and I felt good value for money. We bought the CD of photos to supplement our own because they were very good and the staff were nice, not pushy. Worth it to see my 13 year old daughter's huge smile
The first show is at 10am but the Dofinario is open from 8.30. If you´d like to swim with the dolfin before the show, make sure you arrive there early to guarantee a place. Only a group of 10 people can go per session. The dolfin is well trained and the time with the dolfin is strictly planned and co-ordinated to ensure you get photo shots doing different poses with it, so don´t expect to freely spend time just swimming with lots of dolfins. It´s just one dolfin. The photos are expensive but they are the only ones closest to you and the dolfin and take the best shots on the day so be prepared to take lots of cash with you.
