We just stopped in here on the way back from Dudu Lagoon. Having been to Playa Grande before this was not as nice. The beach was not that clean and there was a distinct sulfur smell in the air. We just had a look around and left.
A very beautiful beach and excellent for small kids. You can walk for miles into the water. Locals come here to fish with their boats. Really a nice beach to take pictures off.
In few seconds you will realise that what destroys the peace an equilibrium are the people with those cars with huge speakers so loud that at the end you got noise instead of music because all of them hace their own music so load that iit mixes with the music in the other card few meters away.Them when you are in the water you will think that there are coulorful fishes, but this is a wrong expectation. You will realise that are plastics floating in the water. 4x4, bike, cars are crossing in front of the beach where kids are playing with sand. It is such disturbing that you cannot stand there for more than 10 min.
This is a truly nice beach with white soft sand but I would not advise you go during a busy weekend or a special event like "fiestas patronales" (patron saint celebrations) because it's just crazy. If you go during a week day then you'll love it!
Amazingly clear water that doesn't go above chest high for about 50 ft. You can lounge in the water or on the beach. When I was there, there was a boat roped up in the middle of the inlet, where we swam out there and jumped off the boat. But judging by other pictures that boat might not always be there. Definitely worth a few hours of your day.
Disappointed by the lack of care for this beach. Needs to be cleaned up. Good for the kids, they can go far out and water is not deep. Very little waves.
Although this beach wasn't on our spontaneous driving tour, I am so happy we pulled over to check it out. Sand was soft like velvet. Water was warm and shallow. People were swimming way out with their dogs. Just absolutely beautiful. Worth a visit!
this beach is really calm and shallow. There is a cool stream that flows into the ocean, and there are chairs for rent and beer there, but no bathrooms :(
Incredible, unbelievable sand like powder, like velvet. I know many beaches but this one is different. It is not to big but beautiful. Very very shallow and warm water.
Small, shallow not good for swimming but great for young children sand was great but it looked like a locals private beach
First time to this beach. It has such a gentle slop to it that you can walk out for dozens of meters across smooth sand. Pity that the Dominicans don't pick up their rubbish though!!!
I love the beach in Cabrera. They are clean and quiet. Everyone knows each other. The scenery was amazing. Will definitely visit again.
You really have to look for this beach, but do it, because it is worth it. The water is really shallow, so great for small children. If you keep walking it gets a little deeper and you can swim. It feels like paradise being there, all secluded from everything else. There is 1 (or 2) local restaurant there. we didn't try it, eat already, but just as the rest of the local beach restaurants in DR, they serve lobster and fresh fish.
We stopped here...didn't stay long...but it was really cool. Very aesthetically pleasing. There are tons of little streams bubbling up ...it's really cool. The local dogs are very friendly...don't be afraid of them.
Is the most quiet beach I have been to. small, water is quiet and relaxing, sand is white and fine. very good
