Just outside of Vancouver and soon to be connected to the new Skytrain system is the Evergreen Cultural Centre which is a wonderful arts centre, art gallery, home to the visual arts and workshops. Coquitlam has a fabulous home for the arts which enliven the community and bring the area quality exhibits and art shows worthy of a trip into this area of Metro Vancouver.The surrounding area is parklike with extra parking and picnic amenities which, on the summer day, will surely please one and all - with arts and crafts just steps away.

The Evergreen is a beautiful facility worth spending time at. From the art gallery to live theatre events, its very rich culturally. Lots of parking and stunning landscaping make for a great picnic and culture combined. Walking distance to shopping, close to public transit. The Evergreen also rents to community events both in the theatre and rehearsal rooms. Support your local theatre and take in an event. you'll be glad you did.

We saw Boeing Boeing when it was playing throughout the lower mainland. Nice to see in a cozy environment. Seating is close to the stage. Convenient location and parking. Saves a trip into Granville Island.
