We had no idea of what to expect here. I thought it might be a shop selling wildflowers but not so. Someone has gone to great pains over the years to collect & make ornamental designs with the wildflowers. Some of which are really nice. It was a cold day & we loved sitting by the huge fire in the centre of the cafe while enjoying our coffee & biscuits.

Interesting shoppe. Lovely lady in the shoppe took a photo of both of us in the T model ford . Wildflower seeds for sale ... Hope they grow . Cafe looked nice but we didn't try that.

It's a café decorated with dried flowers - very cosy & nice feeling! The lunch was good and the staff were friendly. It's a nice stop for food and a short walk about tour.Nice displays of vintage car, eagles , souvenirs and more.Fascinating place! You can't miss it if you are heading to Wave Rock.Truly is an outback "Welcome to Hayden Place"!Experience it for yourself! :)Enjoy!See pics!

In the visitor centre at Wave Rock, the amount of dried wild flowers hanging from the ceiling is fantastic. Many flowers arranged in the shape of butterflies make a very interesting display. They also have a cafe with the best quiche and salad you could get anywhere.

The Wildflower shop is in a collection of buildings adjacent to each other. They are all positioned round an information centre only two minutes from Wave rock and Hippos yawn.So feasibly, you could also do one of the attractions as well whilst your there. There is an animal park, lace centre, and a military exhibit to choose from. There is also a gift shop to get your "it's a bloody long drive to wave rock goods".The cafe itself has excellent made to order sandwiches, which made a refreshing change from the usually "chip diet" offered at some other tourist cafes. We were lucky with timings as we were there around 1:00pm and the place was empty.Ten minutes later the bus tours arrived and it was packed out.Sit out on the Verandah that overlooks the pond it's very peaceful. The ladies behind the counter looked very tired and clearly had reached there smile quota for the day on the last bus load, but did tell us the nicest place to sit and were very helpful.

Food is reasonably priced, staff are pleasant and, importantly, the toilets are clean. On a review of the Rock, somebody suggested combining a visit to Wave Rock with one to the Pinnacles on the same day. In your dreams, unless you have personal air transport of some kind. You would be looking at a massive trip north of Perth before going south to Hyden, as a quick look at a map will confirm.

The Wildflower Shoppe is located right across the Wave Rock Caravan Park. There is a visitors centre within and a nice little cafe staffed by friendly people. We enjoyed a coffee sitting on the verandah overlooking a little pond. Very idyllic and peaceful.

We did a 4wd trip from Kalgoorlie to Hyden via the John Holland Way, was great fun, took 2 days of good travel, we camped at the Hyden caravan park for our 3rd night which was ok, problem with thehot water in the last shower cubicle in the female loos thought, but I would have to say, visiting the wildlife park at the rear of the coffee shop was the best! The place was so clean and well kept the animals all looked healthy and it is a credit to the manager operator. The kids loved the dinosoar statues, the wombats and the koala, we got to pat them all!! Just beware of the noisy parrots, but I am sure they like the company! The variety of birds was great I can go on and on, even the food at the cafe was good! Loved the homemade sausage rolls! Thanks we will be back again, planning our 2nd trip on the John Holland Way!!
