I went out twice on the beautiful Aphrodite. Rides were fantastic!! All the people very friendly & very well cared for & clearly much adored horses. My first time riding in 28 years, i'll definately be going back

Back for the third time to enjoy riding in the Kalamaki dunes on these lovely horses. Great fun for riders but beginners are well looked after too so don't worry if you can't ride.This time Niko took me on a 2 hour trip up the mountain beside Kalamaki beach. We went very high and the views of the entire bay were totally amazing. Of course, due to steep and stony tracks this ride is NOT a fast one, but well worth the plod.

My sister and I went on a 2hr ride at 9am, the lady owner wasn't there but we had a brilliant male guild who picked us up from our hotel. I only booked for my sister at first as I can't ride ( through here). My sister talked me into going, so I added myself on too, I got lead during the ride, as I don't have a clue on how to control a horse. where as my sister really enjoyed it.I had to ask to finish ride early as my back and hips started to hurt really bad ( I never should of tried it as have hip and back issues). I'm writing this more on my sisters behalf as she loved it and the man who showed us was brilliant.

Me and my sister Renata went hirse riding last week while in holidays in Zante... and had the most amazing time. Mavra,her husband Nicholas and the rest of the family were super nice and we felt very welcome. ( we loved their puppies too ;)).She offered to give us a ride from the hotel and back which was very kind of her. Nico took us on a ride through the local lands, forest to the beach where we took lost of photos. Great experience, will try to be back before we go back home. Thank you for great afternoon!!!! Mavra and Nicos were a great team and provided us with an experience we will remember for a long time. My girlfriend and I finished off our holiday to Zakynthos with the sunset tour and had an absolutely amazing time. Mavra picked us up from our hotel half an hour before our tour, drove us to the property and explained how the tour would work. She picked horses for us that were suitable and explained a few things, although my girlfriend is already a pro, so I still had to learn them. We were lucky enough to be the only two people booked in for the sunset time slot which was great!We set off with the guide and she spoke to us the entire way before we met up with Nicos who took us towards and along the beach side of the main road. He was brilliant. He is just the type of person you would want with you, funny, talkative and very friendly. He stopped us twice at two specific locations to take some photos and he took probably close to 50 of us so we ended up with some great snaps. The two hour tour was definitely the way to go. The sunset was beautiful and we had a blast. We definitely recommend this horse riding tour of Zakynthos with Mavra and Nicos. You won't be disappointed!!

My boyfriend and I did the 2 hour sunset ride and it was absolutely amazing! From start to finish the hosts Mavra and Nikos were incredibly friendly and helpful. Mavra picked is up from our hotel and dropped us back afterwards, she was very helpful communicating all the details via email and booking the ride for us. The horses were so quiet, half the time you forget you're even riding a horse! We were lucky enough to ride with just the 2 of us and Nikos. Nikos was fantastic he took lots of photos of us along the way with the sun setting in the background. The views were absolutely unreal, a definite highlight of our trip and a must do if visiting Kalamaki/Laganas! Make sure you wear long pants to avoid saddle sores and bringing a bum-bag or small shoulder bag is a good idea to keep your phone/camera in to keep your hands free for riding. We will definitely be coming back to do this again. As Nikos says - "wherever you go, live life and have fun!"

Couldn't wait to do this! I found Mavra through TA earlier this year. She answered my query straight away and kept in touch with me right up to our trip. She picked us up from our villa on the day. We had a really friendly guide who led us through fields and then onto the beach. He was kind and helpful, even stopping to take photos of us for us!! I've always wanted to ride on the beach and now - job done!! Do this, u won't regret it!

We had an hour hack along the beach and through the forest......Myself my partner and our 8 year old twins......The people were lovely. Horses were gorgeous and as a horse owner i definately recommend....

We had a lovely 2 hours out riding through a beautiful scenery.... Saw olive yards, one trees, along the beach through the sands... The field.... We were a family of four And our two sons of 13 And 11 had never been on a horse before. They were well talking care of... Mavra And her family look very well after their beautiful horses. We enjoyed the trip so much. Don't miss out on it!!

I absolutely have loved Maura and her beautiful horses. It was the fist time for me on a horse and I was so excited to walk... maura, the owner was so lovely and nice. If you want to ride amd you love nature you aboslutely must go here! It was the best experience of my Life. Maura if you read a send you a big kiss you are incredible!

A great experience. we were a group with 2 experienced & 2 new riders. we were all looked after wonderfully with the new riders being led round & in the middle of the group. Lovely ride round local countryside & along the beach. Were also collected from hotel at no extra charge.

Had a great time at Laganas Horse Riding Centre, we were picked up from our apartments by a lovely lady who was very friendly. As my husband and son are not experienced riders we opted for a one hour ride which was excellent, through the countryside near the airport and then down on to the sand dunes and beach. I have always wanted to ride on a beach so this was a dream come true! The horses were very well behaved, good mannered and obedient. My son loved riding "by himself" on a leading rein. There were plenty of riding hats available too, which was a good sign! After the ride we were taken back to our apartments, all in all a great experience and much cheaper than going riding in Britain. Will definitely be going back next year!

We we staying at The Costas Appartments in Kalamaki, I asked the owner about the nearest Horse riding centre, after giving him my families riding experience, He said leave it to him, 5 minutes later he said all sortedThe lady from the riding centre even collected us from the Appartment, took us to the horses, They were so helpful, I couldn't ask for better, They took us around a few fields, over to the sand dunes, and back, To be honest, it was fantastic.After the ride, they took us back to the appartments, they were brilliant10/10 from me, I WILL be using them againThank YouJeremy Stone from Aberdare, South Wales, UK

This was our first trip to Zante and being a small island, there aren't many riding options! You'll see flyers and adverts for the 'other' horses everywhere but this place, run by Mavra and Nico is brilliant. The horses are well looked after and obviously happy. My fiance and I had horses to match our abilities (Makita and Barbie) and opted for the 2 hour ride (€40 each). Our guide was a lovely young lady who's name escapes me but spoke perfect English (she is 3/4 English!) but has spent most of her life in Greece. We rode into the dunes near Kalamaki beach where we had some lovely pics taken.Mavra will happily pick and drop back from anywhere you are staying and is extremely helpful.I cannot recommend Laganas Horse Riding Centre enough!Thank you to everyone there and hope to see you all again soon, Tony & Julia

It was the most amazing horse riding experience I've ever had!!! I loved the horse (Aphrodite) and the horse-keepers, all of them are very nice people who care about the horses and riders as well. Mavra has picked me up from my hotel what was very confortable because the hotel was a bit far away from Laganas and I could not come on my own. She also helped me to find "my horse" what is really very important by riding. Her son Theodore was my guide. We walked through the fields to the airport and then to the beach. He is very nice and easy-going, we've talked a lot. He told me about Greece, about how people live here, about nature and horses, so very interesting and friendly! Theodore chose speed according to my riding skills, so it was neither too slow nor too fast, very comfortable and so as I like it. I've enjoed riding very much and came on the next day again. And on the next day with Nick it was also exciting and easy! Resume: very good place! Lovely people, excellent horses, nice location and breathtaking experience!!!
