Fabulous theatre styled like LA Scala Milan with a horseshoe shaped auditorium and 5 floors of beautiful old fashioned boxes. An absolute must if in Bergamo, and try and get a box as opposed to a seat in the stalls!

We came to the Donizetti museum almost by accident, spent some time looking at the exhibits and talking with Madame Bartolotti the curator and Mr Capitano the librarian, both were friendly and well-versed in their subject. The importance of Donizetti's teacher Simon Mayr was emphasized. There are numerous portraits, play bills, old instruments. A comfortable way for a music lover to spend 45-60 minutes in Bergamo, which is the loveliest of old cities.

I had my first experience of attending the Opera in Italy, at Teatro Donezetti. This elaborate building was a fitting place to enhance this moment. The Opera, Lucia Di Lammermoor wasamazing. The scenery was very well done, but the cast really made this first time special. They were magnificent, especially the lead singer who was spot on. She looked and sang like an angel. I was especially pleased to have the gist of the story in English sub-titles as my Italian is minimal. The seating was easily accessible and the restoration of the building added to the polish of this Grand building. Take the opportunity to attend an opera here ....you will not be disappointed.

For opera or music buffs, this is a well-worthwhile museum focusing on the life of the great Italian composer, Donizetti. The museum connects Donizetti's personal and professional history to the times in which he lived and provides a perfect collection of memorabilia of this great artist.

Abbiamo passato alcuni giorni a cavallo di capodanno qui a Bergamo, e avevo visto che c'era questa commedia (no no nanet), e ancora qlc posto libero. Ho prenotato e oggi abbiamo potuto ammirare l'interno sontuoso di questo meraviglioso teatro. Inoltre ci siamo veramente divertiti con la commedia, davvero molto bravi.

Uno spettacolo magnifico quello che si è svolto il 31 Dicembre (ieri), il Donizetti non si smentisce mai! Organizzazione come sempre eccellente! Il Teatro lascia senza fiato, bisogna visitarlo almeno una volta nella vita!

Situato in pieno centro, sul Sentierone, Il Teatro G. Donizetti è la piccola “Scala” di Bergamo. Il Teatro originariamente Riccardi, dopo numerose vicissitudini (incendio doloso) venne inaugurato nel 1800 ed assunse il nome di Donizetti nel 1897, a ricordo del famoso compositore bergamasco. Il cartello propone sempre una grande varietà di spettacoli: dalla musica lirica alla classica, dall’operetta alla prosa e, da qualche anno, è sede anche di concerti di famosi cantanti di musica leggera. Elegante l’architettura esterna, raffinato e suggestivo l’interno; ottima l’acustica. Luogo di cultura e di divertimento il Teatro Donizetti è il fiore all’occhiello della città di Bergamo. In diesem Theater finden Aufführungen von sehr selten gespielten Donizetti-Opern statt. Das gibt es sonst nirgendwo auf der Welt - und schon gar nicht in dieser Qualität und in dieser Stimmung! Eine italienische Oper zu erleben, mit einem italienisch-einheimischen Publikum in diesem speziellen Haus - ein sehr schönes Erlebnis!

passeggiando sul "sentierone" e dintorni, lo vedi che se ne sta lì, appartato ed elegante...ed il programma degli spettacoli è veramente di prima qualità!

Само здание выполнено в строгом, классическом стиле. Интересна сама экспозиция, которая рассказывает о композиторе, не только как о профессионале, но и как о человеке.

fantastico,l'ultima volta andai a sentire un concerto di musica classica...l'acustica è fantastica e così anche il teatro... un buon luogo dove arricchirsi culturalmente e perdersi con i propri pensieri.... consiglio a tutti!

Donizetti Theater находится с нижнем Бергамо. Увидели его когда гуляли по городу. Само здание монументальное и очень классическое, практически без лепнины и др. украшений.

Costruito alla fine del '700 ed intitolato al grande compositore bergamasco, da sempre distintosi per grandi produzioni liriche tanto da venir inserito nel ristretto cerchio dei teatri lirici di tradizione. Sono possibili visite ma il teatro non dispone di guide quindi bisogna contattarne una direttamente che troverete sulla lista della provincia di Bergamo. Le visite sono consentite solo quando non si prevedono eventi o mantaggi. Massimo 40 persone e bisogna pagare 3 gg prima.

Il Donizetti è un teatro molto bello e raffinato. Ci lavora una mia cara amica per cui posso dire che non è solo bello, ma anche lavorativamente è un bell'ambiente dove si cerca sempre di dare il massimo per inscenare spettacoli di grande carattere e creatività!

Гаэтано Доницетти родился в Бергамо, и конечно же городской театр этого города назван в честь великого композитора. Театр построен в конце семнадцатого века. Здание театра выполнено в строгом стиле и не поражает излишними украшательствами. Внутри здания нам побывать не удалось.
