Really amazing for winter holiday and all this nature around Superb. It could be but hard to get up there with your own car,(if its not a 4x4 but if you take a coach they will take you up there safely and quickly
If you like skiing in the Alps, you would not regret visit in Jasna. Top ski conditions, freeride zones form both sides of the mountain Chopok, reasonable prices - you might find more posh places as well as low cost restaurants and places to stay overnight. Resort have nicely build snowpark with several biger jumps and rails. Lifts are modern fast and save, even better than in some Alps resorts. Night life is also powerful. Up in the resort there are several places to go in evening for good beer, music (Happy End disco bar), or just chillin in Retro bar at Hotel Liptov.
Very nice ski center, varietty of many slopes, friendly staff, interesting summer/winter activities! If you have small children one slope there is really perfect for learning-Birla put!
To get the most of the slopes be there as soon as they open. Many slopes to choose from, well worth to try the south part from Kosodrevina to Srdiecko, it is usually much calmer than the north part. Great food at very good prices can be found at the hotel Kosodrevina on the south side. Quick servis, wide menu, tasty food will make you a regular there. I hardly eat elswhere when skiing in Jasna.Skipas in Jasna is probably the most expensive in Slovakia, but you get a lot for your money. Also consider spending an hour or two in the aquaparks down in Liptov valley after skiing.
A quality ski resort in the lower Tatra mountains. The resort is situated in a beautiful valley, the top peak is Chopok, with its 2000m height. The lifts are modern, the bars and restaurants likewise, and reasonably priced. The price of the skipass is 200€ for 6 days.
Perfect place for winter holiday! the tickets prices are little more expensive than in other ski resorts..but Jasna offers a great opportunity for skiers and snowboarders.
A wonderful and top quality ski resort in the lower Tatra mountains. We were a bit sceptical because of some bad experiences about Slovakian pistes back about 15 years ago, but this place proved us wrong! The resort is situated in a beautiful valley, the top peak is Chopok, with its 2000m height. The infrastructure is exactly the same quality as it would be in any western European country, the lifts are ultra modern (make sure to try the one which goes to the summit!) the bars and restaurants likewise, everything is in its place. The people are nice and there is a huge party on the hill on weekends. The price of the tickets are sadly on western average too (39€ for a day), but anything else (food, drinks, etc.) are much-much cheaper. I fell in love with this place, will surely be back next season!
Been here twice now so that speaks for itself. Low cost budget snow sports much better than the likes of Pamparovo. The lift passes are a little expensive but the lift system appears to have been totally upgraded with the majority of the lift being very modern. Good off piste if the weather is kind.
Never visit the so-called “Full Moon Dinner” organized at this location through the intermediary of the Chopok-Yachny ski resort Information Center. You will pay 45 Euro to be offered a “set” dinner in an unheated premise without even some plied-blankets to cover yourself with in the winter (count yourself fortunate if you don’t get cold after such a “dinner”). Moreover, nobody will see right to make an apology or to respond to any complaints...
in December 2014 was little snow, but skiing was very good. We spent there 3 days in perfect hotel with sauna and jacuzzi with good food and service. Cableway are great and skiing races excelent.
Before the main season we were lucky to get the daily ski pass for 9 EUR. It was worth the money, but I would never pay standard 37 EUR for the snow conditions we had on Dec 22-23, because on Monday one of the main lifts to Lukova was broken and there were extremely long queues on other lifts.Everything is very expensive, including food and drink.Great stuff they have here is GOPASS, a ticket for ski lifts you buy online and don't have to wait in queues for tickets... you go directly to ski lift.
the new skilifts, the rotunda outlook restaurant at top of chopok peak, the million stars hotel offers few pictoresque rooms - stay alone at top of the Chopok peak for a romantic getaway.. worth a visit. Great ski resort.
Very large resort with many lifts, furniculurs and atractions but the main is beautiful landscape. We had unfortunatuly bad weather, was raining whole day. There is many options what to do. I am looking forward to winter to go there on ski.
Bus to resort from Liptovsky train station at the 3 bus stop. 1.20 Euro for the ride each way. First bus leaves at 8:0 AM. We went on September 13th. It was overcast and drizzly. Nice ride to the resort. Beautiful hiking paths along a fast running river that parallels the roadway. At the resort you have a myriad of lift ticket choices which are hard to decipher. We opted for the round-trip ticket without scooter rides or paragliding. Cost per person was 18 Euros. Lifts only ran every half hour and you need to take 3 lifts to get to the top. Visibility at the top was about twenty feet. I have no idea what was out there. There were few people about when we visited. We had lukewarm tea at an overpriced restaurant on the south side of the peak. Food was pre-made and set on steam tables. Pack a lunch. You'll have a better meal.In the end we paid 36 Euros for a ride into a cloud-bank and back. Add the cost of the tea and it was, in the end, less than satisfying. We walked down the hill from the resort alongside the river. Now THAT was marvelous as we could actually see things. Beautiful conifer forest vistas and a churning river with lots of cafes to stop in along the way. Now that's the way to go.
Just sitting here, beer is very bad, despite it is Pilsner! Meinl coffee same, very bad, like in cheapest pub.
