This is one of the most beautiful beautiful places in the Slovakia. You must visit these caves. Length of the tour last for about and hour( short circle) Long circle for up to 2 hours. Its amazing to see how these caves ware made by earth and floating water. Must SEE attraction !!!

It is impossible for common tourist to visit 35 844 m of the whole spaces. However, accessible Demänovská jaskyňa Slobody and Demänovská ľadová jaskyňa, that create the part of the whole system make available an imagination about this unique speleologic phenomenon.

If you are in Demanovska Dolina, it would be wise to visit the Demanovska caves, as they are beautiful and truly impressive. There are four guided tours a day and basically you walk for an hour up and down sometimes really steep stairs (there are 913 steps in total), but it is spectacular - with ravines, ‘coral’ lakes and crystal clear stream running at the bottom of the caves. The entrance and its surroundings have a slight whiff of time passed, the souvenir shop closes at 14.00 and there was no refreshment at the time, as it has been renovated. There is also a steep 15 mins climb to the entrance from the car park (which costs 5 euros). If you would like to see a bit more of the caves then you need to be part of a group of min. of 10 people, but you have no way of knowing whether enough people turn up on the day or not, which makes it a really ridiculous system. This tour takes place only once a day at 13.00.

Amazing hour spent deep within the mountain. Most magnificent caves with huge openings and underground water. You can take your time and is a great activity for a wet day. Needs to be seen to be believed!

They refused to sell tickets for the 13:00 tour though we arrived at 12:50. Very poor client service !!!

this place is a must for all caves or nature lovers ! first of all you have to check the online schedule for each tour and get 15 min earlier to buy a ticket and wont end up waiting near the entrance. there is a small entrance fee, and it's a bit cold bellow so you want to dress up for the experience. The path is long with many stairs to climb and to go down and is suitable for people with good health. there is an extra charge for taking pics inside the cave.Overall, one of the best places I've been to in Slovakia .. on my next trip I'll try one of the other caves :)

The Demänovská Cave of Freedom is situated in the Demänovská Valley and is the most beautiful cave of the large system of caves, in the north of the Low Tatras. There is two way for visit, standard or big route (60 or 100 min) very nice experience.

This is one of the most widely visited caves in Slovakia, and it's well worth it to go. There are some tours in English - check the schedule online. It's a huge cave with lots of interesting things to see. When we were there, the tour group was a little large, so we tried to stay close enough to the guide to hear well. (One annoyance was a group of tourists who were quite noisy and talkative during the guide's narration.)

An interesting geological structure, created this magnificent cave. The whole Demanovska valley is scattered with caves but this one seems to be "cultured" and made possible to visit without any special equipment. The path is long with many stairs to climb and to go down and is suitable for people with good health. The delightful sights in the cave and the lights reflections make the effort worthwhile.Visitors that do not speak Slovak will not understand the guide explanations and are advised to read the signs outside the cave or any publication prior to the visit.Temperatures inside are around 6-8 Celsius, so a warm cloths are recommended. There is an extra charge for taking photos inside the cave.

A must-do cave if you're in the area. My only real complaint is that we weren't given any English literature.

An impressive, beautiful and interesting cave with a variety of different features. The tour is long and detailed, but unfortunately only in Slovak. You get a printed page in English with explanations and the guide points out in each area to the relevant section.

The caves of liberty is a very nice way to spend few hours.Parking is about 5 Euros. We took the long tour since we got there a bit late (12:50) and it started at 13:00 but it was very nice.Reaching the caves will take some breath as its 10-15 mins climbing on a comfortable path.Inside you walk for about an hour and half to see beautiful and old sculptures of nature.Huge downside which is irritating is that it's not cheap at all and the tours are only available in Slovak...too bad they don't care for tourists.

If you visit Slovakia and you are near town Liptovský Mikulas and due to bad weather(rainy etc) you can not visit what you want. I can recomend you to visit this cave. This cave is beautiful big and probably is open whole year. More information is on web site http://www.ssj.sk .Parking is under hill cost 5EUR and after you have to step up on hill it takes cca 15mm ,so check before when exactly is open time. In Slovakia we have many beautiful caves : Belianska, Domica, Dobšinská,Važecká...etc. Just check web site and go and enjoy what you like and what our mother Nature made underground.

it is a great attraction on a rainy day! Even 3-year old child of my friends managed to to it and at the end of the route he cried-we all thought he was so tired but in fact he didn't want to go out!! If you want to take photos, buy a ticket with permission to take them (2 more euros).
