As it was February we just had a walk along the beach. It is sandy or with grass - what you prefer. It is a nice beach but very crowded in the summer. It is very good maintained and you can walk along the beach from Lucija to Piran. Nice.
Provides an area to seim, safely. Good for children although can be crowded. Beach chairs available for rent. Many restaurants along the beach, providing a perfect view while eating.
great beach with umbrellas and possibility to take something to eat at nearby cacao ( highly recommended for ice cream)
Not really a beach but the promenade alongside the sea goes for miles lovely views particularly of the beautiful Piran, lots of bars shops cafes all the way. Beware cyclists
entrum for free, the sea is beautiful. everithing was exellent, i like a lot a food in the restaurant near the sea. werry good and werry cheap. i come back to zou again in portorož.
Prtoroz is sweet and Piran is so nice, but if you want sea and beach here you not find,we sweem in some wellnes in Portoroz, its nice to come for 3 days and this is it Piran is amazing so magic but sea and beach nothing...
My family wanted to have a day in the sun, to swim and get a nice tan. Well, you can lie in the sun there alright, yet there is no real sandy beach. The seaside is covered with either concrete or rocks. There is a small "passage" to the sea right in the middle part, where also the kids could go in. It is sandy there and you don't need any beach shoes. However, it is truly too small to be called a beach in my opinion. All and all, the water seemed clean and it was really warm. We had tons of icecream and the surroundings are really lovely. Wouldn't choose Portoroz beach to my holiday destination though, there are a lot nicer beaches in Croatia, only an hour drive away from Portoroz.
Well maintained sidewalks, walkways and cafe's along the water. Very clean. Had many a romantics night dinner there.
Clean, great and nice. There is lot of space to stay and all the environment is made for the perfect relax.
Loved the concrete beach, but wear beach shoes in water or your feet will be ripped to shreds! Safe family atmosphere
Warm, quiet sea.Had to dive from peers and lye on the concrete because there was no sand... not entirely so - some restaurants and a little stretch of sand right in front, so you could use their sun-rests.
During our travel through Slovenia, we wanted to see the Adriatic. Portoroz was full of people, the sea looked muddy so we only went for a long walk to Piran, which was for a contrast another must see.
If you can afford the 12 Euros to each day for umbrella go to Meduza Beach. This is very clean, kids corner, awesome staff. Recommended
Pretty small beach - I expect it gets VERY busy during the summer. Plenty of bars/watersports/activities on the promonade.
the beach is really average, water is not clean at all. designed for those people who want to have everything at hand and don't care of quality. we laid down our towels next to beach-chairs and the local beach guy approached us in very unfriendly manner that we are not supposed to put the towels between the chairs....in half-empty beach! it's better to drive few kilometers further, cross the border of Slo-Croatia and opt for Kanegra beach. you will experience nicer hospitality.
