I took my two nephews that are 2 & 3 years old here to get out of the house. It was easy to get to and had fairly clean amenities. My biggest gripe is the same one mentioned in other reviews, it is overpriced. It is $10.00 per person including children. I spent the $30.00 dollars because I had already driven an hour to get there and my nephews were restless. We were given a small map, (a printed sheet of tan paper), with pictures of the animals and a rough sketch of the route we were to take when going through the animals pens. The first animal is a goat. He tried to escape but we managed to herd him back in rather easily. Make sure you have the first pen door closed because he is fast. Also, make sure you keep your map away from him because he snatched ours up and after a small tug of war he tore of part of it and ate it. He was the most active animal besides the cats that sleep everywhere it is cozy and warm throughout the zoo. Most of the animals either slept or slowly walked away. The bull came charging at us and butted his head at the fence. I didn't really see that coming and it startled me. It is clearly blocked off and there is no visitors allowed in his pen. One of the turkeys eyeballed a zipper pull of mine that was a tennis ball and tried to eat that a few times, but it didn't hurt and he wasn't aggressive. The entire tour with kids was about a half hour. It has a cute Old Western theme but most of the buildings are shelter for the animals or displays. The kids can't really play in them. This is a cute little zoo, but I feel the price is too high to really enjoy.

The animals here were all really cute and the owners & staff were helpful and enthusiastic. I would not call this a high class petting zoo though, if that even exists! My main gripe would be the cost $10 per person (which has to include the adults also!). I would say $5-$7 would have been more fair considering that doesn't include any kind of pony ride or special experience/tour. The port a potty was a bit of a surprise as opposed to modern plumbing. Also, no food or water readily available here unless you want to graze with the herd or drink from the trough!Again, definitely something a family with kids should do once, but not repeatedly, I'm guessing we will find some more spots around this area like this.Candidly with all the livestock and equine at this farm, our best memory will be of their guard dog (a rare "Estrela" from Portugal) and their clan of Manx Cats that were out celebrity tour guides, they were hilarious.

We drove 2 hours to go here and were in and out in under 30 mins. It is not very big and we paid $60 to get in. We did NOT feel like it was worth it. I think they should charge around $8 for adults and $5 for kids. It's not worth $10 per person. It was a hot day and lots of the animals didn't have any water at all. We won't be going back.

We are all animal lovers in my family, and although it was a little expensive ($40 for 4 of us) - we ended up spending 2 hrs there and my younger son (11) loved it! He loves pigs and spent a lot of time with all the potbellied little piggies. It isn't a huge place, but you can go around to all the animals at your own pace and spend as much time as you want in each area. The animals are friendly and love being pet. My son even helped the owner feed some of the animals. She was very nice and told us a lot about the animals. Great visit!

Well, It is $10 per person, no matter the age. I paid $40 plus tax. In 40 minutes we were done. They wanted $10 for a kid to ride a horse 5 times around a circle so the kids DID NOT ride the horse. Hell, I'd already spent $40 for nothing less than boringly unspectacular; I was NOT about to pay $30 more for boring ride around a circle. The kids were quickly bored and were only impressed with getting to pet the animals for about 5 of those minutes. My suggestion: Pay a little more & go to the actual zoo but go somewhere else.

This a such a fun place to go! Those little miniature animalea are so darn cute! My daughter and I spend a day roaming the grounds of this miniature animal farm and we had such a great time. From full grown horses that only come up waist high to teeny tiny roosters strutting their stuff. It was a blast. Watch out for the goats however because they're just the right height to head butt you in your butt! Lol

We took our kids here and they really enjoyed it. All sorts of miniature animals to pet, really cute!

The animals here are very friendly. We took our 1-year-old grandson, he loved it! There were many other families with children as old as preteen, so the attraction provides entertainment for all ages.

Our family visits Tanglewood Farms 2 or 3 times a year and have since we moved to Canton in 2006. We have NEVER seen these animals anything but healthy and well cared for. I would suggest anyone that wishes to visit ignore the post below, see it for yourself and make your own determination.

The farm is an AWESOME place. The animals are so friendly and you can pet all of them. They have a wide variety of miniature animals to see. They are well taken care of and the facility is very clean. We had the best time ever there!! We loved the little alpaca "Elvis". He gave me nose kisses!

I bought several goats here and they are by far the best goats I have. They have been handled so much and loved that they are like puppies. They follow me everywhere and are the easiest goats to get to do anything. I have even clicker-trained them to do tricks. I have several other goats who i have gotten from other breeders and they are nothing like my Tanglewood babies. No matter how much I work with them they are still skiddish and don't like being handled. The way they treat their animals says mountains about these people, you just can't find as lovable animals anywhere else, I've tried! My next babies will be Tanglewood babies for sure. My babies have never ailed and are always the healthiest in my flock, even their babies are healthier babies! I've seen so many issues in other flocks that I never have to worry about from Tanglewood.

Tanglewood Farms has some of the rarest miniature animals in the world. In fact, they have the tiniest registered horse in the world! Also, real Jersey cows, and even miniature buffalo. It's an unreal experience. Even tiny pigs that are full grown and weigh 35lbs.Where else can you see all of these animals and have the opportunity to interact with them? Seriously, some of the reviews on here are ridiculous - it's people who want something for nothing. If you don't have the money to spend, stay home. It takes 2 minutes to call ahead, ask about the farm, and the prices. So don't whine after the fact because you didn't do your homework. The people running this farm are true humanitarians. They offer programs for autistic children, children with MS, and even adults with Parkinson's Disease. I'm sorry that it takes money to upkeep this farm, feed animals, and do these wonderful things. Maybe if our Government didn't fund every other entitlement program on the planet, they could fund a place like this for our kids. Heck, how many children have ever even met a REAL American Indian - he is the husband of the farm's owner. His grandfather was Standing Bear, who signed a treaty with the US Government in 1829 (Andrew Jackson was at the signing). Seriously, meeting him is incredible.Overall, this is a great little farm with quality human beings who run it. The owner even has a dozen or so piglets being bottle-fed in her home. The complaining adults on here aside, I guarantee your children will have a ball and will remember the experience forever. So if $10 a price for entry, and $10 for a pony ride sounds worth that, then go. Otherwise, stay home and watch the Discovery Channel.

We had a great time. Michelle and Irving are great people that truely care about their animals and little farm. I find it funny the guy that complained about paying the $10 entry charge. This is a business. Not only do they have to pay staff but purchase tons of feed and other supplies for their beloved animals. Also that customer may not relize it but animals have vet bills too. Save your $10 then and give it to Six Flags for one soda next time. We had a great day! Tanglewood also gives back to their community with serveral outreach programs. Plus the animals are so darn cute!

I almost did not go here based on a previous TripAdvisor Bad report. So with that said read reviews with a grain of salt. This place was the CLEANEST farm I have ever been to. The people were happy and helpful and glad to be working there. Reese (6 years old) and I had so much fun we stayed for 5 hours. No that is not how long it takes 1 to 2 hours is sufficient, but we were so thankful for the one on one with the animals and very little people around us at Noon on a Saturday we just spent time cuddling the little farms animals. The $5.00 bucket of food was plenty and I'll tell you why. when you receive it break it up into the tinest pieces these animals get feed all day so the owners don't give big buckets. You can spend time and get close without any food at all. The fee to get in was $10 and initially I thought that was high until I really explored the entire farm and spent the 5 hours to watch all that went on in the farm. $10 is worth it. This place is not like the other places I take Reese this is more of a hands on working farm not a Zoo. The other part I liked about this place was that we DID NOT have employees shoooing us through we could go at our own pace and our time was never monitored nor did we have to stop after one go around. We went through the pens several times and each time the animals were different with us. The food was a great deal $5.00 for me and $4.00 for Reese A Cheesebuger with all the fixins and a Hot Dog Chips 2 Cookies Beans and A coke of some sort. A great deal and fresh off the grill right in front of us. The picnic area was great it had a climbing tree house for the kids and lots of shade. It also had a giant Chair to photograph in as well as a bungee horse for Reese. I paid for the pony ride because how can you not let your 6 year old ride a pony right??? This really is a professionally run farm and I highly recommend for a family trip. Oh one last thing I noticed THE ANIMALS HAD NO ODOR how is that possible???? They were clean very clean.

My daughter went here for a school field trip and again for a birthday party. She had a great time on both occasions. The farm features several different varieties of miniature animals and children love to look at them. My daughter's favorite is the mini rooster.
