the country club dance hall & saloon

What a great place! Very well maintained with good entertainment every weekend! I have been to allot of places but this one is fabulous!

I've had more fun on the pooper than this embarrassing establishment. Be warned there's about 40 douche bag cops that try to "enforce the law" ie grind there putrid pathetic dicks on some local tail. I've showered like 6 times since I left and I left at 2 last night. If you want to grind to lil john and the eastside boys (not so bad) and be in the presence of degenerate local law enforcement (very bad) be my guest. Just know your boy warned you. Be safe out there

We just found this place and it has turned into our new weekend hangout. It is fun to walk into a place like this a see all generations participating in the dancing and the fun. The servers are great, the drinks are great, and we are quickly learning some of the dances with their free lessons.If you go early for the free lessons there is no cover to get in. It is a great, cheap way to spend an evening.

Place is plenty big enough, great bands from time to time, the website makes it very easy to access the bands sites so you can preview their work, love that. Major country-fied until about 11:00 or so for the most part, unless the band isn't country, got your bootscooters, and cowboys and cowgirls...but it is dubbed Country Club/Saloon...so there you go.Every night at midnight you get your overdose of rumpshaker music, so basically if you know the pattern that plays on the weekend you could time it right and get exactly what you are looking for from a dance club.Mind the powder/dust on the dance floor with the wrong shoes, you will slip/fall.Along side that, there are signs (and the general etiquette rule) to NOT bring your drink on the floor, but the "I need liquid courage to dance " people do anyway, would love to see that nipped in the bud as the spilled drink and the powder/dust make for a dangerous dance area as well.Don't mind the slight dress code either. Still got some "hooch" style of dress, but overall it makes for a fun night playing fashion police with the friends!Bartenders are good. Waitresses are good too, but are sparse, need a handful more to cover the large areas, imho. Love the mirrors in each bathroom stall, in the ladies room, allows you to multitask...*grin*Price to get in is fine. Personally I dig the smoke room, you don't leave home with your clothes reeking and the smokers don't have to step outside, in the heat or the cold.Overall score 3.5/4 out of 5.

I just moved here about six months ago, and every place I went to was either not my crowd ... (will leave out other names) ... or just plain dead. I was beginning to think Augusta was the lamest town I'd ever moved to , until I stumbled upon The Country Club online. I went there, and its my kind of people, my kind of music (actually NOT just a bunch of hick music!! dance tunes! I love to shake my booty :) ) I met some people, loved the employees that I got the chance to talk to (bartenders are cool as hell, as well as a cocktail waitress I met) .... I recommend this to ANYONE looking to have a good time in Augusta!! You'll probably see me there :) :)

its always fun! The one place I can always go and its busy. I never have to worry about driving...love the taxis line!!
