Lake Olmsted stadium is the best sports venue Augusta has to offer. It is used for our minor league baseball team, the Augusta Greenjackets, to play our home games. Concerts and other events are sometimes held at the venue. The stadium is pretty and up to date. Food is available. Greenjackets games have super cheap beer on Thursday home games, called 'Thirsty Thursday.' The mascot is there at the home games. The stadium is next to the small but beautiful Lake Olmsted and surrounding park. There is a kids area at the stadium. It is completely outside but a good majority of the seating is under an awning with fans, which is much appreciating in the scorching Georgia heat.

This ballpark is fantastic. Low A baseball at it's best. Home of San Fran minors. Great place to spend a few hours and catch some great baseball.

what a great way to spend a summer evening! Inexpensive but lots of fun. Decent food, cold beer, baseball. It doesn't get much better. Gotta love those Grrenjackets!

This is the home of the Augusta GreenJackets, (golfers will recognize the name). This is a fun place to spend an afternoon or evening watching the young men play the game. Small stadium, seats about 1,000, but it has overhead cover and very large ceiling fans to keep it comfortable. They work hard to keep the audience entertained. I've always enjoyed minor league games as you are right up to the field and not lost in the crowd, looking down from way in the rafters. The minor league tickets are quite reasonable as well. The stadium is next to a park with a lake.The stadium is used for other events as well, such as concerts.
